“We were not originally planning on staying in Middletown but were pleasantly surprised on arrival. The Garden House is very comfortable and convenient to many things in town. Linda, our host had special little touches that made the stay relaxing. Number one the shower is amazing! I looked forward to it every evening the pressure and hot water is perfect and the quality shampoos and soaps provides smelled wonderful! “I am on vacation with my family for the first time in California, and we stayed in this beautiful house. The house is very well maintained, exactly as described, and the hostess has always been very attentive and caring towards us. Highly recommended.”

“Listing lies about the parking -- there is none. You have to squeeze your way into the driveway past a parked car that leaves about a foot of space to lift your heavy bags over.. The key lockbox is confusing and hard to use with arthritic fingers. There's a handicap accessible sign on the gate but this is a joke because of the car blocking it. Place smells bad too, like cheap deodorant. Cute enough in a basic kind of way. Could use more blankets”

“The host (Arden) is responsive, kind, and supportive in meeting our requests. The house is situated centrally to our needs Berkeley campus, Oakland, grocery stores, etc). We’ve also met a neighbor who was welcoming. The house itself met our basic needs: sleeping, showering, and has basic cooking wares and equipment (if you are like me who cooks every meal then you may want to bring items like seasoning and cooking oil).
