“Super quiet location, rooms were beautifully done and recently refurbished. Very much liked the underfloor heating in the bathroom and super comfy bed. The communal area and restaurant were closed when we visited but there is a fab deli, 2 mins up road and linked to wider Castle Ashby estate. Overall a gem of a hotel and ideal for quiet break to relax and refresh. ”

“Freshly prepared cooked breakfast (Poached Eggs on Toast), Cereal, Toast (Honey & Marmalade), Tea, Coffee at a time to suit you. Parking is easy outside the property on the gravel driveway, the owners are very helpful and friendly and the rooms are clean and tidy.”

“We had booked two rooms here, both were nice and comfy. There were some farmyard animals wandering about (cute pygmy goats, dog etc) which were interesting. We had an amazing meal in the pub, really delicious. Would definitely stay again or drive out of my way to eat here. ”

“A clean and tidy room in this historic pub. Jez and his team are friendly, accommodating, and always happy to help. We stayed for a family wedding held at the local church. We had a wonderful day and then great food, drink, and a comfortable stay at The Black Bull. Highly recommend. ”
