The Space:
Moon Bay Cabin by Tiny Away in Opossum Bay, just 18 minutes from Clifton Beach, 44 minutes from Hobart, and 11 minutes from the breathtaking Goat Bluff Lookout. Discover more and unwind at the nearby South Arm RSL, where relaxation meets adventure. It’s the perfect blend of peace and proximity to everything Tasmania’s holiday homes have to offer.
This cozy 139-square-foot tiny home sits on a large paddock with easy access to water. It features split air conditioning, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Our tiny house is off-grid and powered by solar energy. Please conserve energy during the day and use it only when necessary to prevent power outages.
Planning a group stay? We’ve got two cabins (2 Adults each)—Moon Bay & River Ridge. Just give your land host a heads-up 24 hrs in advance!
Guest Access:
Guests can access to the tiny home, except for the main house.
ADVISORY: Please bring portable power banks and charge electronics in advance. Conserve energy by turning off lights during the day and opening windows for fresh air. Your cooperation helps ensure a sustainable stay.

Moon Bay Cabin by Tiny Away sits in Opossum Bay, just 5 minutes from South Arm, 18 minutes from Clifton Beach, and 44 minutes from Hobart. Enjoy easy access to nearby towns, beaches, and fishing spots.
Local gems include the peaceful Opossum Bay Jetty, perfect for fishing, the stunning coastal views at Goat Bluff Lookout, and the walking trails at South Arm Nature Reserve, where you can enjoy birdwatching and sea breezes. A little further up the road is Clifton Beach, a favourite surf spot on Hobart’s fringe, or you can soak up panoramic views from the South Arm Lookout.
In Hobart, stroll through the historic Constitution Dock, home to the iconic Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race finish. Enjoy fresh seafood, boutique shopping at Salamanca Place, and charming heritage buildings all year round.
Getting Around:
By car:

By public transport:
- Taxis are available at the airport, but we recommend using a private vehicle for easier travel to nearby coastal towns.
Other Things to Note:
- Mobile reception is good: Telstra, Optus & Vodafone; while others are weak
- Charcoal BBQ Grill is available
- Expect fluffy rabbits on the property
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- No smoking allowed inside, except in designated areas
- Recycling/compost bins are provided to dispose of rubbish properly
- Firewood is available at $10 per bag and must be paid directly to land host
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- Pets are allowed with a maximum of (2) per stay, subject to 24 hours’ prior notice, and must be kept on a leash at all times. The full pet policy will be sent before arrival.
Important note:
- BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the compost toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
