“We stayed here for one night after a day in Winchester. A nice enough hotel, with staff pleasant enough. The room we stayed in was small but well kept. The main issue we had was that the room was that next to a staff run through, meaning doors were slammed constantly. Further, there was no air conditioning, and the room we were in at the bottom floor was next to a busy beer table and had lots and lots of mosquitoes, meaning we were bitten to heck! “This is a fantastic pub to stay and dine at. 4 nights here with wonderfully comfortable and quiet room. Excellent staff, great evening menu and food. Lovely atmosphere. Amazing walking right from the front door, car did not move for the whole time. The breakfast is the only thing that needs attention… the full English is good quality and well cooked but took 30-40 mins to arrive and on cold plates - easily rectified I hope.
