“At arrival staff was not very welcoming. not rude but just no smile
Staff was helpful with luggage though
Be aware if you like face clothes they have none. was told it was not a 5 star hotel.
Room was nice and clean. Had coffee, kettle, bottled water, soap, lotion etc..
arrived from a day of visiting london and there was not hot water!!! that was annoying and they didn't give explanation and did not know when it would be back. no comp. was offered.”

“Another wonderful stay , the hotel is so beautifully decorated clean and owners so friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning is amazing with a fantastic choice cooked to order. The lady serving this is a treasure and can’t do enough for you.

“This was our 2nd stay when visiting Portsmouth for gigs. The hotel team are always very freindly and helpful. The breakfast is always good with good selection of fruits and juices to compliment ( if you actually have room). Free parking on a 1st come basis. All in all a great place to stay when in Pompey!”

“V. Disappointing.
I checked in during the afternoon. But needed to leave as had other plans that day.
On returning to to hotel at around 21:00 in the evening and entering the room for the first time to see properly, my family and I were immediately swarmed by insects in the corridor that were on the walls and room door, so after entering the room at haste to avoid any critters to follow, we were in the room which was very dated and in need of an overhaul.
The bathroom had tiles missing and...

“La stanza era arredata molto bene e in modo originale, le dimensioni adeguate e il letto spazioso. Il bagno era stato pulito molto in fretta, se era stato pulito: sul lavandino c'eral'impronta di una saponetta usata precedentemente, la parte del WC sotto l'asse era sporca di urina in più punti. Il pavimento del bagno era stato scopato, ma lurido perché non lavato probabilmente per più giorni. Nella teiera nell'armadio della camera abbiamo trovato le bustine di té bagnate del cliente precedente!...

“La stanza era molto accogliente e carina. Ma la pulizia piuttosto sommaria, la polvere andrebbe tolta! Per fortuna lenzuola e asciugamani erano pulitissimi. Bella l'idea della macchinetta per il caffè...peccato che non ho avuto il coraggio di usarla! Anche quella andrebbe pulita!! Tralasciamo le macchie sulla moquette...purtroppo è davvero poco igienico questo tipo di pavimento. Colazione continentale discreta. ”

“Food poisoning the first night, rooms hotter than the sun, zero water pressure in the bathrooms. Constantly chasing staff for the most simple things. They ran out of ice. No fans for the rooms. No one collecting glasses or emptying an ash tray. Asked for a coffee in the morning and waited 15 minutes.. got up to ask where it was "oh i couldn't find you" yeah because you were in the kitchen flirting with the chef..
Could be such a wonderful place, if the staff weren't recreating Fawlty Towers”
