Hotel vicino a St Illtud's Church - Cardiff

“We were in a small back room which overlooked a fire escape/staff entrance? A lot of noise until the early hours kept waking us up. Don’t accept room 6”

“Rooms were very clean, quiet and comfortable. Food at the pub was the best we had during 2 weeks in Wales. Staff was helpful, friendly, and very accomodating. Highly recommend this place as convient to the Cardiff airport and very comfortable.”

“It was an ideal stay for a short stay but I do feel that the rooms do need a bit of a revamp. I must say though, it was a very clean. Great service though and staff were very friendly. Thank you ☺️”

“Spacious room with comfortable beds , elemis toiletries bath and shower. Smart space outside to sit. Plentiful breakfast Large gym , swimming pool sauna steam room and jacuzzi -very clean”

“At the arrival and going to our room there was only 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel I asked at the reception to have 1of each brought to our room but it did not happened also the bathtub is either very badly stained or just not cleaned properly so we felt that we could not have a shower in it The hotel bar was very good and staff very friendly the breakfast was very nice plenty of everything Thank you we still enjoyed our stay”

“Il posto é consigliato per chi vuole socializzare e ballare. Noi invece volevamo dormire tranquilli. Quando siamo arrivati abbiamo scoperto che sotto alla nostra camera si teneva una festa di matrimonio, con musica altissima fino a notte fonda. Per fortuna eravamo talmente stanchi da addormentarci di sasso comunque. Camera non pulitissima ( moquette con macchie, un paio di ragnatele con ragni e soprattutto tazze per il the sporche). Personale gentile e disponibile.”

“Myself and my partner were really impressed by the beautiful decor at Lanelay Hall the hotel and our room was very spacious - the biggest room I’ve ever had whilst staying at a hotel. The happy birthday treats and petals were a really kind lovely touch too. The location was disappointing as we pulled up to the hotel gates in a housing estate (our expectation was a countryside hotel). Also one of the skylight blinds was broken in our room and left a gaping hole of bright light into the room which...

“Warm welcome and friendly staff, however quite a modest property even for a BnB and at this price point. Small room with very small shower. Fine breakfast but only instant freeze dried coffee, and few options if you don't want a fry up. Immediate area full of litter on streets (like most of Barry). I know this isn't their fault but it's a location point. Overall a fine place to stay but I'm surprised current reviews are quite so high -- afterall, a warm and friendly welcome should be expected...

“Staff very friendly and helpful, the room was in poor repair without a main light and the extra bed was broken.We are non smokers and they gave us a smoking room that stank of cigarettes smoke.”

“Stayed here 2 nights as I was attending nearby Festival. I Called Les the host and he was very accommodating leaving my keys in the safe box. The room was clean and housekeeping came daily. The bed was very Comfortable i had 2 really good night sleep here. Bayside is right next to the beach which was a bonus as it was a warm bank holiday weekend. Definitely recommend a stay here.”
