“Nice, clean with a nice local pub right across the courtyard. Very handy. However the pub is only open limited hours and no where else to eat within walking distance except a fish n chips joint. We stayed in apartment 3. Suited our family of 4 well, but note there is no mini fridge or micro that a family might hope for. Walls are thin too but not a big deal.

“We choose The Boot Inn to stay overnight as we were meeting family for dinner in nearby Mercia Marina, we were warmly greeted and shown to our room which was as described on website, very comfortable and stylishly designed, breakfast was very much to our liking and the options were plentiful should you need. ”

Room as expected was of a similar old theme (given the age of the property) and while pleasant, the en-suite bathroom was a little small for my liking. Ambience in the restaurant on the evening was second to none, and while the service itself was excellent, I hadn’t really appreciated that the half board arrangement was a cash allowance rather than an invitation to pick and choose within reason (until it came to pay the next day !) - my bad perhaps,...

“Fantastic place to stay food fantastic so was stafe and service .rooms maybe a wee bit to warm .also our room was right above a generator but it did settle latter in the night .didnt like the step at the bathroom quite dangerous .alarge mirror in the bathroom would have been Lovley putting all that a side i will be back and i will be recommending it to freinds .”

“Super stay - high quality furnished room, and quiet late on, despite the vibrant atmosphere at the adjoining pub. Only thing I could perhaps find fault with would be the high tog rating for the duvet (which made for a rather warm night !)”

All the staff were pleasant and cheerful, made our Peak District trip very memorable. Highly recommended, will definitely be staying here if visiting the area again. ”

“This place isn't a hotel in the traditional sense, more like a bar / restaurant mainly open for 'hotel' guests but don't let that put you off, it's a great place to stay. Very friendly atmosphere, staff can't do enough to help, food is excellent and rooms are quiet and comfortable. It's my preferred place to stay when I'm in the area.”

“A basic but very clean and comfortable hotel. The lady on reception obviously loves her job, she was so friendly and helpful. McDonald's is next door for food. Will definitely stay here again. Oh and a message to management, give that receptionist a pay rise!”
