“We had a wonderful experience at this hotel! Thank you for making our visit a good one!”

“Had the kind bed room with sleeper sofa! Didn’t have any bed sheets or pillows for the sleeper sofa. Went downstairs to all for blankets and pillows and was told he would have to find some. Eventually he brought us blankets but said there were no pillows. The hotel was not very clean and kind of smelled musty! Breakfast was decent.”

“Our stay was comfortable, room was clean. There is no ice machine on site so plan accordingly. There is not an office onsite, plan on Self Check-in only with call support if you have issues with your door code.”

“All very good, except breakfast coffee was not hot, just undrinkably warm.”

“All vending machines out of order, no elevator to reach second floor. Had to carry luggage up stairs. Don’t think they have a pool, if they do, I wasn’t told where it was. The online pictures are not what it actually is. Sorta reminds me of a rent by the hour motel you see in the movies. Won’t be going back there again.”

“Overpriced. Continental breakfast is bagels cereal and a waffle machine. No hot food other than make your own waffles. No dresser for clothes, phone in room did not work so no way to contact desk. No elevator.”

“We frequently choose older motels that cost less. We look closely at their photos, and if it looks updated and clean we choose it. Usually we find it is owned/managed by an immigrant family, frequently from the Subcontinent, and they do an excellent job with the older property. The Royal Inn in Hudson, Wis., is such a place. It was very clean, the air conditioning worked well on a hot day, parked right in front of our room. Convenient location.”

“Someone else said old but well maintained. They were correct. I walked into the room and the AC was off. It was about 80 in the room. No odd smell. Just hot. The AC cooled it down quickly and efficiently. The sheets were soft. Choice of flat or fat pillows. Bed was hard, but at least it was clean and smell free. I’m picky, and was satisfied”

“Coffee was horrible, one day no coffee at 7:45am, eggs were cold, staff was rude. Tiles in bathroom were loose. Old building not well maintained. We have to go to Chisago a couple more times and will definitely get hotel closer to MinneapolisWould rather drive 45 minutes than stay there again.”

“The room was uncomfortably warm and couldn’t be adjusted to a more comfortable level. The morning breakfast was terrible. I wouldn’t stay there again……”

“This is Our New "MUST STAY HERE" in Stillwater-The building has be been Tastefully Updated...I cannot adequately put premium into words how PLEASED we were with our entire 2night stay here at Stillwater Country Inn & Suites !!! From the wonderful desk person, at check-in to walking in to our Clean, spacious room, comfy bed, quality Linens (personally, I loved the new plank type floors in the room as opposed to tired out carpeting in many other properties) ...to each morning Lovely Cheerful...

“Booked a room with 2 queen sized beds. Got a room with one king size bed. Couldn’t get another correct room because they were fully booked even though I paid for the room weeks ago. Brought up a rollaway bed instead. Staff said “because it was booked through Expedia they had no control over what type of room we could have.” Had to kick in the door to enter since it was so misaligned and sticky. Room next to us had the same issue. Almost couldn’t get out of the room because the door jams up. Oh...

“Our room was ready and clean. Staff provided extra towels for us. The disappointment was that although we were told breakfast was available starting at 6:30 am, there was nothing other than overnight coffee available at 7 am. Using the phone for contact in the common area meant the phone rang multiple times without anyone answering it.”
