Nuovo nel mercato degli affitti! Oak Tree Cottage, un rifugio nel bosco centrale della Virginia

  • Il nostro cottage con quattro camere da letto si trova a Waynesboro, in Virginia, ai piedi delle Blue Ridge Mountains. Skyline Drive e Blue Ridge Parkway si incontrano qui, quindi è un posto perfetto anche per la tua famiglia!

    Siamo adiacenti alla George Washington e alla Jefferson National Forest e alla Sherando Lake Recreation Area, a soli quattordici miglia da sci, golf e tennis al Wintergreen Resort. Eppure siamo ancora così facili da raggiungere - nascosti all'incrocio tra le Interstate 81 e 64, a soli cinque miglia dall'uscita 96 sulla Interstate 64. Siamo a sole 27 miglia dall'Università della Virginia e da Monticello a Charlottesville, in Virginia, e solo a 150 miglia da Washington, DC.

    Oak Tree Cottage si trova ai margini della foresta, con vista sui campi aperti della nostra fattoria di 1.000 acri e sulle montagne Blue Ridge. Abbiamo sentieri escursionistici, un lago da pesca rifornito, fauna selvatica e bird watching a bizzeffe e prati restaurati. Ai primi di settembre, le farfalle monarca migrano attraverso la fattoria.

    Rilassati e goditi la natura o parti per esplorare le vicine cantine, birrerie, storia, eventi in bicicletta, il sentiero degli Appalachi o l'arte. Siamo un'ottima base di partenza per esplorare la Virginia!

    Il primo piano della casa ha un soggiorno, una cucina completa con isola, un grande tavolo da pranzo con nove posti a sedere, una sala con pareti in vetro che offre una vista completa della foresta, oltre a due camere da letto e un bagno completo. Al secondo piano, ci sono altre due camere da letto e un altro bagno completo. La casa ha il riscaldamento del battiscopa con acqua calda. Abbiamo anche una piscina privata disponibile per l'uso dei nostri ospiti. Non c'è bagnino in servizio.

Beautiful and cozy

Dave and Karen are great hosts. There are so many thoughtful details at this property! We had 3 generations of family and we enjoyed the scenery, pool, birds, and very comfy beds!

Our second stay here was even better than the first! Wonderful hosts, great location. Everything we needed for a relaxing family vacation. A highlight was our hike at nearby St. Mary's Wilderness. No steep slopes, beautiful mountain stream and waterfall. Go early in the day (parking is a bit limited).

Spring Retreat

Oak Tree Cottage provided a beautiful place for our group of older friends to enjoy time together. Sleeping arrangements were perfect for our group. We loved being outside on the deck or by the pool and also enjoyed the dining/gathering space across the back of the house overlooking the woods. The hosts were super nice and helpful. A wonderful stay!

This location is ideal for hiking the trails accessible from the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive. The home is on 1,000 acres and feels very private since the owner's home is the only other house on the property. We were pleased with both the cleanliness of the home and the comfort of the bed. The owners, Karen and Dave, were very hospitable hosts who made sure that we had everything that we needed for a pleasant stay. We did hike a bit on the property and saw a lot of deer while walking. I don't think you will regret choosing this home.

Wonderful experience

The cottage was clean, cozy, comfortable and well stocked. The linens were comfortable. Location was convenient to family , stores and Charlottesville.Dave and Karen could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. Any issue was addressed timely.I look forward to returning to this cottage!

Peaceful house with mountain views

This was the perfect place for a family group of 8, enjoying the quiet of the countryside and views of the mountains. There was plenty of seating and a big dining table. We would come back in the future.

Oak Tree Cottage is Great

We enjoyed our stay at the Oak Tree Cottage. The house was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The pool is great and we loved spending time in the sunroom. We had such a relaxing time, we hope to return. Karen and Dave are excellent hosts. We highly recommend Oak Tree Cottage.

Amazing!

Beautiful views from the farm. A peaceful setting. Easy access to local attractions, including Monticello, Shenandoah, and a wide choice of vineyards and breweries. The pool is lovely. The hosts are wonderful. They are friendly and go out of their way to make guests feel welcome.

The Best of the Best

An amazing, gorgeous property! The house was exactly as described but the view was even better in person. It was stocked with everything we needed, clean/ready to go, and check in/out instructions were easy to follow. Bonus that the owner was such a delight to talk to! My friends and I had a great time and we highly recommend!

Excellent stay

The house had everything you would want or need in a VRBO The pool was right outside the front door, loved sitting on the deck with all the shade from the oak trees, great farm to hike, loved the special local treats the owners left. Great sunroom with a big family gathering table. Definitely will be back!

Beautiful stay with a big group!

We traveled here with 6 adults and 3 children and had a wonderful time! The cottage is in a beautiful location and close enough to get to stores and restaurants. It’s incredibly clean, well-appointed and perfect for big groups. The owners are very friendly. We enjoyed exploring outside and playing games with the kids. There are also lots of hiking options nearby. We were there for a wedding but we would definitely come back!

A perfect three generation weekend! The house and property was exactly as described which I've found to be unusual. Having the fenced in pool was perfect for our three young children. The hosts were wonderful - both before our stay answering questions and responding quickly to any questions we had during our stay. I highly recommend Oak Tree Cottage!

Relaxing Oasis

Our group thoroughly enjoyed this gem! The home is exceptionally clean and well organized. The pool was sparkling against the beautiful backdrop of the mountains. The owners clearly treasure this property and add little extras to enhance their guests’ experience. We hope to return next year.

Perfect Stay

Everything was PERFECT. The property and views were even better than expected. The house and pool were impeccable. The house was stocked with all essentials, including plenty of pool/shower towels for the 7 of us. I can’t thank Karen and her husband enough for their hospitality and kindness. Every aspect of our trip was well beyond our expectations.

Fall Getaway

Oak Tree Cottage is the perfect place to gather especially if you love being surrounded by nature. The property is very well maintained and the hosts are welcoming. The cottage is super comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. Our family loved the room with all of the windows! While there we attended a family wedding at Pippin Hill, spent a day in Charlottesville, and took a ride on Skyline Drive. After those busy days it was so nice to have such a clean and comfortable place to return to!

A gorgeous cottage nestled in the trees

I reserved this location for a small bachelor party weekend. We stayed from Friday to Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is close to 151, allowing us to swing by Devil's Backbone for their Oktoberfest. It is also close to many great trails like Humpback Rocks, which we hit in the morning after Devil's Backbone. The owners are amiable and welcoming. They greeted us when we settled in and set up the firepit for a lovely roaring fire our last night there. The views are beautiful, and the peace and quiet are unmatched. I highly recommend this location for a delightful getaway without being too far from fantastic sights and places.

Quiet, secluded, peaceful property

My wife and I came with a couple of our adult sons and two close family friends. We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation. The pool and the cottage are immaculately clean. The owners live right on the other side of the pool and are SO nice. They even brought over some fresh tomatoes from their garden! And the yummy snacks that greeted us in the kitchen when we arrived were such a nice touch. Highly recommend!
