“Room was nice and clean and very spacious. The apartment we had the lounge air con worked though the main bedroom turned on though didn’t have cold air and the spare room had no air con. Though the apartment was massive and very comfortable ”

“We were able to check in early and offered free parking as some unexpected council water works were proceeding that night. Our child then fell critically ill needing hospitalization by pure chance. Cant thank the night duty guy enough who went above and beyond to help change bedding at 3am and provide extra linen. Prior to this full kitchen and views to ocean and generous living space were enjoyed!”

“Our room was very spacious and immaculately clean. The hotel restaurant had a great selection of meals and the food was excellent. The room comes with a beautiful buffet breakfast with lots of selection. My only complaint was that the twin king beds needed a mechanism to lock the wheels. When you tried to get into bed or sit on the bed, the entire bed slipped away. Someone could fall and hurt themselves. But I would still highly recommend this hotel. “The Darling is a beautiful and luxurious hotel. We had a wonderful experience here that began with the lovely lady at check in who was so nice, polite. friendly and extremely helpful. We were celebrating my husband's 60th Birthday and had booked a beautiful Stellar Suite for 2 nights. As we opened the door to our room, to our surprise, we realised that we had been upgraded to one of the amazing Penthouse suites!! “Old and very tired, in need of refurbishment. Three main things define a quality room - Plumbing, Pillows and Aircon, FAIL on all 3. You can hear other people's plumbing running. The pillows are thin cheap ones probably bought from Coles and the aircon was ineffective. Had to set it to 17C and flat out to even get the room down to a temperature where I wasn't sweating. Hardly slept and won't ever stay here again!”

“Clean and tidy rooms in a dated condition. Beds very clean and comfortable. Kitchen and bathrooms nice and clean and tidy. Close to supermarket and beach. Lots of instructions and rules though. Easy check in and check out progress. Our room over looked the road but still quiet enough. ”

“Lovely welcome, easy check in. Hotel right on the beach and close to many restaurants, supermarket, Pacific Fair, and Surf Club. Safe and secure parking. A lot of road noise during the night but this isn’t hotels fault. Seemed to be something living in the space between floors!! ”

“Ac kept going automatically from 21 to 29. Bin had not been emptied. Could not get Wifi or any TV. TV was on the floor so would have been hard to see if it worked. Bed was on wheels and kept moving around. Rang the office at 6pm on the Friday in relation to TV & Wifi but she said we would have to wait until 10am the next day to get any assistance. I asked for another room but she said there were no rooms available. We eventually got offered another room at 12pm on Saturday.”

“Place is a wonderful place to stay and will stay again. Only downside was no facecloths in rooms, also lacking amenities in kitchen. All the small utensils but no pots, fry pans etc and only one lot of dishwasher power and small amount of dishsoap. Also would be great if small amount of salt and petter supplied for guest use. Overseas travllers end up having to buy stuff to throw away which is not sustainable for the environment. ”

“Room not clean and missing toilet roll holder, and towel rail. Room looked like it was under construction. Told at time of checking in that I had booked two rooms which was definitely not the case. Still have not seen the pending charge disappear from my credit card”
