“A great atmosphere at the Tan Hill, a good crowd was in on the night that we visited. The dinner was very good and the breakfast excellent. Our room was great with a good view out over the moors. If we're ever up that way we'll definitely stay again.”

“Stephen and Lynne were most helpful when we found our car had a flat, filling the tire and directing us to a nearby repair shop. Breakfast was excellent and featured a nice selection. Service from the staff was excellent. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Beautiful surroundings as well and easy walking distance to restaurants, coffee, bakery and ice cream treats! ”

“Hicimos noche de camino a Edimburgo. La habitación era espaciosa, cómoda y limpia. El alojamiento era una casa antigua pero reformada y con encanto. El personal muy amable y nos ayudó en todo lo que pudo. No teníamos adaptador de corriente y nos prestaron uno. La comida era buena y tenian una bonita terraza para tomar cerveza”

“A great last minute overnight trip here. The room was lovely, quaint and cosy. We ate dinner in the pub and cannot fault the food. I had lasagne and my husband had gammon. Breakfast was great. Cereal, toast, juice and hot drinks available to help yourself to and then order hot food. I had eggs bennedict and my husband had a full English. Great value for money and would definitely recommend! ”

“we thought we'd found the perfect hotel but 2 irritations stand out. Lack of milk in bedroom despite asking for it. Can't guarantee to remember at breakfast to ask for it . Didn't realise there was a fridge..Also notes on working the nespresso thing would help 2. On our last night we requested a 7o'clock dinner booking as the previous night no one else had been in, so we assumed we'd been too late. However when we went in at 7 there was no one else dining and we were told everyone else was...
