“Amazing place! They don’t tell you about the amazing sauna/shower/bath!!!! I needed that.
Just know there is a rickety staircase to get to the sauna and bed. Otherwise great.”

“Ottimo hotel appena fuori dalla stazione di Ofuna, centro di snodo per Kamakura, Yokohama è tutta l’area a sud est di Tokyo. Un ottimo tre stelle con camere spaziose, pulite e ben tenute, migliore di molti 4 stelle”

“Bushi-san was the best host. He makes the whole experience and even speaks very good English. We experienced a tsunami warning and had to cancel our flight back home. Bushi allowed us to stay another night. He was very good with the kids. He made lots of jokes, let kids try out the samurai weapons and armor, and even made shaved ice with our kids. Bushi-san makes this B&B a lively and exciting experience. The property itself is outdated with lots of random knick knacks. The futons were a little...

“Guesthouse Irodori was very interesting, and I'm happy me and my 88 year old, Japanese-born mother stayed here. At first thought, one would think it very strange that an Japanese/American Grandma and her 64 y.o. American daughter would stay at a "Minshuku" type of house. But, we had made last minute plans to travel to Tokyo for 1 month to visit a family member having surgery. We stayed two nights in Kamakura to look at real estate and visit a friend in the area. This was great for us and allowed...

“My wife and I wanted to “slow travel” for a few days and found this place on VRBO. It’s a 100-yr old traditional coastal home.
It is directly across the road (there is a convenient tunnel under the road) from Zaimokuza and Yuigahama beaches and there is a bus stop right outside the door for a 15 min ride to/from Kamakura Station. The #40 bus is reliable and easy. Don’t bother with a taxi.
It is also a 15-min walk to the Enoden train, which follows the coastline and goes to Hase and Enoshima...

“We had an amazing time staying at the Amber house in Zaimokuza. The amenities were excellent, the house has all kitchenware stocked, and the parking spot right out front was very convenient and fit our rental SUV. It is a little tricky pulling in/out of the narrow driveway but one of the neighbors came and helped us. The beach is just steps away (look for the underpass walkway, don't cross the road) and also close to the Drop-In Cafe for great lattes. We would love to come back some day!”

“Shared bathroom and shower, but there are only 3 rooms. It was nice, quiet and clean. We didnt really spend time there just to sleep. AND it was about a 5 -10min walk to the beach.”

“This was one of my favorite hostel experiences ever. Makoto, Ana, and Karen are the nicest staff ever, we extended out stay multiple days because we met other amazing people staying at this hostel and became very familiar with Kamakura. Kamakura should be a multi-day trip and you should definitely stay at Iza Kamakura House if you want a really comfortable and laid back place to stay. ”

“The staff were awesome. Really close to station, but was in a walkable area. The only negative is the capsule doors aren't very wide, but easy enough to deal with
Another guest decided to do laundry at 1 am but thats not the properties fault. ”

“Great location, easy to get to from train station. Toshi thought of everything and was really helpful for our first few nights in Japan. Even provided cold towels in the fridge on arrival, much appreciated in this intense heat.”
