“Kenji was a very nice host and his "guest house English" speaking was wonderful!! It is a perfect location if you are looking to wake up early and walk to the bamboo forest, you can be one of the first people there. Kenji also gave us recommendations of places to visit in the area that you otherwise may not have known about. ”

“19時にはほとんどのお店が閉店してしまうので、食事はその前に済ませた方が良さそうです。ホテルの朝食は予約のみと知らず、食べられませんでしたが、その他はとても良かったです！ホテル近くの温泉の割引券ももらえたので、ゆっくりする事が出来ました！また機会があれば利用したいと思えるホテルでした。ありがとうございました！”

“La fermata dell’ autobus è a due passi, un po’ distante dal centro ma grazie ad i mezzi pubblici non ci sono problemi.Il personale è gentile, ci ha offerto gli asciugamani tornati dal giro quotidiano per farci asciugare dalla pioggia... ci ha tenuto le valigie prima del check inn e le abbiamo ritrovate in camera ben sistemate. Bagni puliti, Wi-Fi buona, stanza fumatori. Bene in generale.”

“The room was within walking distance from the bamboo forest and local restaurants. It was hard to find dining at night because some restaurants close early and you have to cross bridge to search for other restaurants. Too many gnats flying around. Gnats were also in the rooms. The staff were really nice and very helpful and patient.”

“This hotel is truly like stepping into another world. The service is impeccable, the room we had was gorgeous and superbly clean. We were lucky enough to have a private onsen with very clean water at the perfect temperature on a lovely little lanai. All of the staff are very friendly and professional and the food is fantastic as well. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a touch of classic Japan in Kyoto!”

“This is a no frills hotel, but we really enjoyed our stay. You can hear if you have a heavy walking upstairs neighbor, but throughout the night it was pretty quiet. There are great laundry facilities onsite that were super easy to use and you don’t have to buy detergent. You just download an app and pay and monitor progress through the app—it was great! ”
