“The best thing this hotel has going for it is the charming and friendly night front desk host. Unfortunately, the property itself was very disappointing. It does not appear to be well maintained, with rust on the vents, frayed carpet, and a room that smelled like a musty, wet dog. Behind the nightstand was a pile of dirt, and there was what appeared to be white mold on the mattress cover.
The room next door had loud music with people going in and out until around 3 a.m., and then early the next...

“The main elevator was broken causing us to walk the entire length of the hotel to get the secondary elevator. Then on the 3rd floor we had to walk the entire length to get to our room right by the broken elevator. Talked to another guest who comes to this hotel every week on business. He said the elevator has been broken for 6 weeks.
A/C fan in room was so loud with intermittent squeaking that we had to turn off the A/C on a warm night in order to sleep.”

“Nice redo of an old structure! Decor is cool. Check in was easy . Very close to restaurants and UVA grounds.
Room noise next door was a problem late at night . Front desk did assist with addressing. You can hear through the walls quite easily!
Also the train is so close-it’s super loud !!
Coffee was promised at 6 am, I went to lobby at 8 am and no one was at the desk and no coffee had been brewed.”
