Hotel a Towanda

“Hotel itself was good. Customer service was lacking. Called a week ahead and day of asking if we could check in an hour early. Got there and were told we couldn’t, then saw several groups of people check in while we were waiting, we tried again and then they let us check in. Also told them our room was out of hand soap and body wash and never got it taken care of our entire stay.”

“Recommend a remodel the room felt like a scene from a bad murder mystery movie.”

“Staff was very friendly and helpful. Amenities were fantastic. The bar restaurant right across the parking lot Disthil had fantastic food great prices and their staff was also fantastic if I’m ever back in the Bloomington Illinois area I will definitely stay here again.”

“The staff were very kind and the room was spacious and clean. The pool was quite run down and the skimmer wasn’t working as there were a bunch of hairs floating in the pool. (Black hairs, my husband is ginger and I am blonde so it wasn’t ours). One of the pool ladders is loose and when I went to climb out it shifted and I hit my foot and fell back into the pool pretty hard.”

“Room was clean and quiet. It appeared that the facility was getting some updates which it needed. Breakfast was very minimal but we actually didn't have time for anything more. The hotel met our basic needs for a one night stay.”

“Overall, great hotel: clean rooms and common areas, comfy beds, good water pressure and temperature, effective darkening blinds, plenty of room space, and adequate breakfast offerings. The location is near ISU campus and nice shops and restaurants at easy walking distance. Parking is inconvenient being in a ramp across the street. Not too far away, but be aware of this in poor weather. Positives out weigh any negatives, I would stay here again.”

“We love this hotel especially the swimming pool and the hot tub for the kids. My only complaint is the key system for the hotel room doors. It's a very old system and getting the key next to anything the slightest bit magnetic cancels it out. We spend lots of time going to the front desk to get it reactivated. Please update your key system!! Otherwise we love the château!”

“Overall was an okay stay! Could use some updated and the breakfast for lacks in comparison to other hotels but overall it was sufficient.”

“Overall, the place was clean, just an older hotel. The lights did not work in the bathroom or the bedroom and no one fixed them during the 5 night stay. The pool was shut down as well.”

“The room didn't have any ventilation. A lot of gnats and the carpet on the floor had a lot of moisture and dirty. Like they took a dirty mop and wiped the carpet with it. I couldn't wait to leave. I wouldn't stay again!”

“All 4 times I've stayed here, the rooms were on the ground floor next to my car. It's located near the freeway, close to restaurants. The rooms are clean with small refrigerators and microwaves. Staff is friendly.”

“The pictures were very deceiving. The MOTEL had no fridge, the A/C barely worked, and the bathroom was so disgusting. It was not clean and the staff was never available when needed.”
