“What a pleasant surprise for us when we arrived at D's Base Camp. Located right off the highway. Staff very friendly and ready to assist when needed. We had 3 spacious bedrooms with each having room for 3 to sleep. Two full bathrooms, very clean and roomy. We also had a nice living room and kitchen. While we didn't cook, it appeared to have everything we'd need to cook, if we had chose to. I definitely would stay again, when in the area. One thing to note is the lodging was on the 2nd...

“Greg and Katie were the best hosts! The property is the best we have ever stayed at because we treasure privacy and nature. You can't see or hear any other properties --you're deep in the Northwoods. We saw Trumpeter Swans, beaver, an eagle, and caught 50 to 60 large and smallmouth bass, one being 19 inches long!We also drove our 4x4 on most of the 20 to 30 (My estimate) miles of on-property atv trails.”

“Our stay at Lazy Bear Lodge was fantastic. The cabin was better than I could have imagined. It was so clean and you had an instant feeling of home when you walked in. We came up to the UP for our elopement at Black Rocks. We had a few people we were close with (9 adults 3 children) stay with us and this cabin accommodated us well!
