“The house was lovely, modern, clean. My second trip to the cabins. I love it here, so brought my family this time. We loved the common outdoor area by the river and spent many happy hours there together. The Forest Service accross the highway was so helpful and the nearby trails were beautiful.Our last night at the Obsidian Grill and General Store was fantastic with live music, great food and such a perfect mix of locals, fellow travelers and super cute canines. “In a small cluster of homes. Neighbors are quiet. Woods setting is lovely and a very short drive to Salmon River trailhead. Beds need upgrading but otherwise very unpretentious and cozy.”

“The cabin was clean and well-organized. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area. It doesn't impact me, but the walk from the parking area might be difficult for older or less mobile people. Also, the exterior of the property is very dark, so arrivals after sunset would be a challenge. ”

My only small complaint is that I thought I could access the river and fish from the banks of the McKenzie at the cottage, but the steep 20-foot bluff makes that impossible. So don't plan on fishing there. ”
