“Gurung's Home has truly become my home away from home. I stay here - nowhere else! - whenever i'm in Kathmandu. The staff is the family, and they are so welcoming, and able to help me with my transportation issues. It is a little bit hard for the taxis to find the address, because Google Maps directs them to a pedestrian street. But about five minutes out of the way, and you can find it. The location is cool because the bustling city is right nearby, but the hotel is on a quiet side street....

“The owner/MD was very attentive and helpful. Even enquired about our activities when we were in Pokhara, etc on Whatsapp always willing to help. Interested in us as people. Even asked if we got home safely afterwards. Very positive experience. Room comfortable amidst tiny streets.Gave advice on shopping and sightseeing. DOES NOT TAKE CREDIT CARD”

“Avevamo prenotato una camera deluxe che affacciava sull'interno e si è rivelata un ottima scelta perchè si dormiva benissimo. La ragazza della reception è stata molto carina e ci ha dato un sacco di informazioni. Ottima colazione. La casa è antica quindi puó sembrare angusta ma secondo me è caratteristica ad ogni modo la camera era grande ed il bagno pure.”

“Great place according to money/service rate”

“L'accueil lors du Check on est vraiment très friendly. Tous les personnel est vraiment attentionné. La chambre est une grande chambre avec eau chaude et linges de bains. C’est très propre. Le petit-déjeuner en self service est simple mais très bon. Le rapport prix/qualité est excellent pour ce petit hôtel. Je reviendrai si je passe par Kathmandu.”
