“The hosts are a friendly, experienced hostel business family. I enjoyed the breakfasts and the homey vibe. I'd like to leave two hopefully helpful pieces of advice for the visitors. If you're using a ride-hailing service, the car is not supposed to stop at the front of the house; it's better to use the spot on W 35th Ave or the back alley to get on / off. If your booked room is on the second floor and your luggage is heavy, be ready to lift it by yourself, as there is no elevator available.”

“The hotel is a great place to stay, no problems or complaints! The problem is in the pricing, no reason to be paying $400 a night for a standard room. This must be addressed across all hotels! It’s ridiculous”

“There is definitely no complaint about the location and the cleanliness. But the water flow of the shower head is too weak. The ladder of the bunker bed is made of thin metal bars, therefore it is hard and dangerous to climb up and down. Finally if a bath tub is available, it will be much better. Anyway, it is a nice stay. ”

“Hotel room was very nice. Brand new decor and very nice layout. Gym in building was great. Coffee brewing equipment in the room was appreciated. Bed was excellent. Neighbourhood is developing but has some excellent food and drink options.”

“The Wedgewood is a beautiful boutique hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Hotel is going through some upgrades which was going on while we stayed there. You could tell that it does need an update. But our room was beautiful and we had a patio to look over the city. They do little touches like a bottle of wine, personalized note and turn down service with cookies. I would love to return after the upgrades are completed. “A good hotel in a strategic area, but services can be improved, considering it's a four-star hotel. Coffee machines on the ground floor often don't work. I was surprised not to find toiletries in the bathroom. Also, the bathroom was not well cleaned the day after shampooing, and several hairs were left in the bathtub. So disappointing, considering the price of the room! ”

“Staff was just amazing, above and beyond our expectations. Hotel is nice and located close to everything. There are still homelessness around the area which was not great, and the closest dog park was a block and a half away which was not ideal at night to walk our dog (we preferred to drive to a nicer area after the first night), but overall the stay was worth it and my family loved it. Price was very reasonable as well.”
