Camera di scuola Old School

A soli due ore di auto da Melbourne, Old House Beach House a Venus Bay è la destinazione perfetta per i fine settimana romantici, le vacanze in famiglia e il tempo con gli amici. La casa scolastica di 120 anni, splendidamente arredata, presenta un tetto a doghe, pareti in legno e pavimenti in legno, tutti completati da una piccola estensione che comprende 3 camere da letto, una sala da pranzo e un bagno / lavanderia.

La casa arredata con eleganza presenta una vista rilassante e lussuosa. La zona giorno principale è inondata di luce naturale e comprende un comodo salotto, TV, DVD, altoparlanti Bluetooth e riscaldamento a gas per i mesi più freddi.

La cucina adiacente è completamente attrezzata con frigo e freezer sottobanco, forno / piano cottura, lavastoviglie, forno a microonde, tostapane, macchina da caffè KitchenAid e una dispensa a tema scuola unica per tutte le vostre esigenze gastronomiche e di conservazione dei vini locali.

Le camere da letto principale e seconda e dotate di letti queen size e porte scorrevoli dal pavimento al soffitto che possono essere aperti sul cortile sul retro. Rilassati, resta a letto e goditi la vista sul giardino dell'albero del tè, nella riserva costiera di Cape Liptrap e sulle dune di sabbia e ascolta il Whipbird orientale e le onde dell'oceano.

La terza camera da letto ha un letto singolo sopra il doppio più un materasso di trundle. E 'una sala divertente per ospitare i bambini ed è anche in grado di accogliere comodamente una terza coppia.

Il bagno / lavanderia fornisce wc, doccia aperta, vanità e lavatrice. Tutti i requisiti di base della biancheria come ferro, asse da stiro, cestelli per lavare ecc. Sono disponibili per la vostra comodità. Una linea di stoffa è anche attaccata al lato della casa, particolarmente utile per asciugare gli asciugamani da spiaggia alla fine della giornata in spiaggia.

Il cortile naturale è sede di bellissime piante native, tè e ha un barbecue a gas e doccia esterna. Il cancello rustico alla recinzione si apre sulla riserva del Capo Liptrap e sulle dune di sabbia. Una splendida passeggiata fuori da quel cancello e vi ritroverete a Venus Bay Beach 1, un'ampia spiaggia di sabbia sabbiosa che è popolare per la sommatoria e il surf e viene patteggiata dal club di salvataggio di vita di Venus Bay durante i mesi estivi.

La Old School Beach House si trova a 10 minuti a piedi dai negozi e dal parco della strada principale ea breve distanza in auto dalla riserva costiera Andersons Inlet.

Winter Short Stay

Everything was exactly as advertised and Michelle was just great in taking me through the set up when we arrived after dark. Nothing was too much trouble. Despite the bucket loads of rain, we got some quick visits in to some local spots, yummy town cafe and a walk to the beach but were very glad to return to a lovely warm house each time. Thank you for providing a great space to stay in.

Fabulous property- old schoolhouse

Michelle the host was excellent and very engaging. We arrived to a handwritten note and a bottle of wine. I loved how the property had been modernised on the inside but had kept some of the old features too. The house is beautifully decorated and feels like a home away from home. Because the gas and electricity was turned off when we arrived which is understandable, the hot water took a few hours to heat up from the water tank so don’t expect a warm shower when you arrive. We had a wonderful weekend and would absolutely recommend the old schoolhouse and Venus Bay beach: We also went to the shell museum at Inverloch which is a short drive away and well worth the the $2 donation per person which contributes to the upkeep of the museum. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality!

Relaxing beach holiday

We really enjoyed our stay - cosy nights and many, many trips down to Venus Bay beach, along a lovely path through beautiful flowering scrub. The house is well equipped, with comfy beds and a very pretty outdoor area.

Cosy, inviting and comfortable

Thank you for our stay at your Old Schoolhouse Beach home. The home is inviting and very very cute. Cleverly designed add on to the old schoolhouse. The home had everything we needed for a lovely stay. My kids particularly enjoyed exploring the path from the backyard to the beach, about a 10 minute stroll. The location of the house was great. Walking distance to town. Even in the middle of winter, the home was warm and inviting after a day exploring local beaches and walking trails. Bedding was comfy and kitchen had everything we needed to cook up meals for my forever hungry teenage boys. Thank you again. I will be recommending the schoolhouse to friends and family.

A great nature based getaway

The old school house has been well cared for and thoughtfully renovated. The backyard with swing & fairy lights got 2 thumbs up from the kids for tree climbing and cubby building (even in the rain!). Michelle was very helpful and responsive. Overall a cosy, warm and comfortable stay, we highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time and only wished we had longer. The sofas were super comfortable and we really enjoyed relaxing in the beautifully decorated and restful space. The location is perfect for walking down to the beach via a lovely track out the back gate. It is also within easy walking distance of the shops.

Gorgeous home away from home in Venus Bay

Loved the property and aesthetics! We thought we would be cold at night in bed with only one doona, but the quality was there and it was all we needed to stay warm. No storage for your clothes in any room at all, but for a weekend away it's not a big deal. The 2 heaters heated up the whole house very quickly and we had hot water in a few hours. Lot's of pantry staples. The outdoor area is just beautiful, we would have loved a fire pit to top it off. It was about a 15 walk-lot's of it uphill to the beach from the back gate, and it was well worth it. The beach is stunning. The locals and people staying in Venus bay were all really friendly and helpful. Close to Wilson's Prom to do a few day trips. Overall a really beautiful place to stay! Thank you!

Wonderful and relaxing stay

Perfect location to get away from it all and relax. The old school house was just perfect and provided the perfect destination to celebrate a special birthday with my family. Michelle was a tremendous host and always provided very prompt communication. Highly recommend.

Charming property in a great location

We had a great stay at this lovely old school house that has been renovated into a cute beach house. The beds were comfortable, but maybe for a longer stay there could have been better storage for clothing . The bathroom shower had plenty of hot water with great water pressure. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and more. The property had good heating options for those cold days and night's. The back yard was great with fairy lights and good outside seating options . We were treated with some of the local flora and fauna and the track to the beach was a bit of fun for us all . It was also a welcome and lovely touch to see a nice bottle of red wine waiting for us on arrival. Our host Michelle was great to deal with . We would love to stay again .

Top Marks for the School House

This is an ideal seaside retreat with a beautiful beach just a short walk from the back gate. The backyard is easy living with a great outdoor table and ancient ti trees that are home to a delightful collection of bird life. The school house is well equipped with kitchen and dining needs, the beds are comfortable and everything is clean and tidy. Michelle and Justin were excellent communicators and very understanding when, due to lockdown restrictions, we had to change dates. Loved it!
