“We enjoyed our stay here. It is a bit out of the way but great if you want a quieter location away from the busy city. The hotel garden was a real delight as was the private sauna. It was beautiful to walk along the river and see the trees on the mountain. We loved the Japanese breakfast, the samue clothes and sandals they supply. We ate dinner there one night and it was fine but not outstanding and the price was high for the small portions. It’s worth noting that there are very few affordable...

“This is the perfect place for an authentic Japanese experience. The staff are wonderful and the meals are superb. Tranquil surroundings with a 5 star multi-course meals each day for breakfast and dinner. The sauna and hot baths were great for winding down after a day of touring. Touring was easy because bus lines and train lines are nearby. We were sorry to leave the Tea House and really hope to return some day. ”

“È bello trovare un albergo ancora in stile locale. Il personale è davvero gentile e disponibile, e questo ci è piaciuto molto. I bagni/restroom in comune sono pochi: questo potrebbe essere uno svantaggio quando ci sono tanti ospiti presenti. Forse questo e l'arredo dei bagni un po' datato sono i punti dolenti del nostro soggiorno. I locali comunque erano sempre puliti e in ordine. Le aree comuni sono in stile un po' retrò ma questo può essere un dettaglio caratteristico. La stanza da letto...

“Super location and quiet room with real Japanese style bed on floor. Practical for trips into town or further since bus stops are right beside the building. Locally within walking distance there are ramen restaurants also temples and the Philosophers path. Suited me perfectly as I don't spend much time in hotel I like to be out taking photos. If I visit Kyoto again I would love to stay here again.”

“酒店位於京都白川旁，感覺恬靜，景色優美。靠近市營地下鐵東山站。步行去河原町、南禪寺、蹴上傾斜鐵道、八坂神社等景點都是十至十五分鐘左右。整間酒店光線充足，不論是大堂或房間的裝修主題都以石和木為主。職員態度有禮，由於整棟酒店只有九間房間，所以職員們應該會記住每位入住旅客的樣子。 房間很整潔簇新，可看到白川河景。移動浴室木門偶爾會有小木刺掉落，不過只是小問題。雪櫃內有Perrier礦泉水、可口可樂、SAPPORO黑啤等。浴室有一個木製大浴缸，水龍頭流出的水有浴鹽味道(?)。打開浴室木窗便是大玻璃，玻璃下半部貼上了半透明膠紙，所以看不到河景。如果走太近的話，街上的人或許會見到住客的影子。洗手盆旁邊有Laura Ashley沐浴套裝和雪肌精護膚套裝，一般酒店都不會提供這些用品。 地下大堂是前台、guest lounge和食早餐的地方。Guest lounge提供許多食物和飲品如著名的京都北山malebranche茶之菓。雖然lounge晚上十點會關閉，不過酒店附近亦有24小時營業的超市和便利店。 酒店門外馬路狹窄，但勉強可以停泊一部車輛。即使呼叫的士也沒有大問題。 ”

“I was very disappointed staying here. The room was beautiful and clean, but lacked wardrobe space allowing for only a few things to be hung which was not good for our length of stay and very different to all our Japan hotel stays. While they had complimentary drinks at happy hour in the bar this was incredibly limited and didn’t have any beer. In the mini bar which was free for us, they had beer but no wine. “The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Overall it was very comfortable to stay. The amenities were limited, for instance, the website mentioned free water bottles, Yukata, cotton/cotton swab, razor, coffee, tea, and green tea, these were not provided when we got there, maybe things we could live without, but they shouldn’t have mentioned if they don’t provide them. “This has everything you need for a short stay and is in a nice neighbourhood with a Lawson next door. We chose the location as we had an event at Rohm Theatre. It was an easy walk to the theatre and nearby shrine. Room was clean and spacious with own laundry, kitchenette and loved the bathroom. Water pressure was amazing! Whilst not in the centre of Kyoto it had great transport connections. We used the bus a lot. Thank you for a great stay!”
