The house was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Any time I had a question the host was extremely responsive, responding within minutes. The kitchen has some useful condiments as well as coffee filters. When we couldn’t locate the pool light I got an immediate response from the host and the pool guy came out to show us where to find it (it’s on the back of the house, down low, in between the door and the hot tub). The screened in porch off the dining room was nice and used frequently. The only downfalls were the stairs when you come in didn’t have a railing for the first half, the deck furniture wasn’t cleaned off, the outdoor tables and chairs could use updated, and the spider webs that accumulate each night around the doors need to be dealt with every morning. The TVs didn’t work that great, one room didn’t have a remote, but we had brought an Apple TV and that worked just fine. The pool was large and amazing but the decking around it is a bit unsteady. One deck board at the edge of the pool fell off and we managed to place it back but it made me concerned about the rest of the boards. Near the end of our stay some little ants appeared in the upstairs hall bathroom but once I messaged the host, the handyman came right out and took care of it. That was the only time we saw any bugs in the house. It was comfortable and clean, in a quiet location and only a short walk to the beach. I would definitely consider booking this house again should we return to Virginia Beach.
