“Dear General Manager, ​I am writing to formally bring to your attention the unacceptable conditions we encountered during our recent one-night stay at your Walterboro, GA location. We arrived and checked in at approximately 10:00 PM, having paid $180 for the night. ​Upon arrival, we discovered that the elevators were out of service, forcing us to use the stairwells. “Clean, newly remodeled, nice blinds, decent beds. Good hot breakfast. Lighting in room is not great, no over head lighting.. Nice pool.”

“Made a reservation by Expedia. When I arrived I asked for a first floor room because I handicapped and have trouble with stairs. The clerk said everyone wants first floor. You have a cheap rate from your reservation so it will be ten dollars extra CASH for first floor. This seems inappropriate to me to charge extra for people who cannot handle stairs. At least if there is a fee for being handicapped, it should be disclosed in the listing on Expedia”

“Staff accommodated an early arrival. Breakfast was adequate, not great. Pool chairs were not maintained.”

“We have stayed here many times in the past five years and this time was not as nice a stay. Our room smelled like someone cooked in it. The beds were bowing to the outside edges, very uncomfortable. The microwave was missing a front leg and rattled. The shower is worn looking. We stayed here in Feb 2025 and everything was so much better along with multiple times prior to then.”
