“Basic hotel but good value for money. Friendly hotel staff, in need of a refurb but clean and comfortable. Would stay again.”

“I LOVED Carol. She was welcoming and kind, made an amazing breakfast for me, answered all my questions. A great hostess. My room (12) was super clean and the bed was comfortable. Lots of pillows and extra blankets. Nice big TV. The water pressure was really low but I think that’s typical in older buildings. The garden was peaceful and I enjoyed sitting there in the evening with a glass of wine. Great stay. Traveled from Canada.”

Il ristorante ha sbagliato la comanda del pranzo e la colazione è molto english, scarsa selezione di colazione dolce, macchina espresso in bella vista ma non possibile avere un cappuccino…. Unica alternativa l’ immancabile tea o il black coffee! La stessa macchina lavora probabilmente a pranzo e a cena ma è spenta per colazione…”

“Property/rooms were tidy and clean. Breakfast was adequate,choice cereals, fruit and yoghurt. Also hot choice of scrambled egg,beans and sausage.”

“The place is actually a mammouth service area. Food court closeby and wonderful park on the backside. They were short of personnel though and this affected some elements of the stay. Need to read the board where they state they do the rooms only after the third day (…?)”

“A good budget hotel but there were a few issues. The shower didn’t clear properly, the room was cold (despite raising the temperature to 30c) and I was woken up by the fire alarm early on a Sunday (because someone had burned their toast in the breakfast room).”

“Beautiful location set back in large park; rooms are in a purpose-built annexe behind pub, so no pass through noise (although pub was generally quiet and very nice, especially the garden); easy parking; short drive to Hepworth Museum; breakfast was delicious; friendly and efficient welcome. Great option for those looking to break up journey between London and Scotland, or just visiting the area.”

“Very nice staff, very clean room, nice clean bathroom nice shower over the bath plenty of hot water good water pressure, 2 small bottles of shampoo and body wash and a small bar of soap towels provided. Nice room with desk and chairs the bed was comfortable. Not enough power points to charge your phone/laptop/watch no USB points especially difficult if two people have items to charge at the same time maybe bring an extension lead/plug. Car parking is charged and expensive especially if staying...

“Some cheaper rooms dark & noisy but others bright & airy. Reception staff very helpful & supportive throughout. Bazaar Spa enjoyable & nice treatments”
