at Westerfield.
Great location with easy access to trains and a large car park on site.
The staff are great also, plus wonderful food.

“Lovely quiet and massive grounds covered in nature and very well kept, the accomodations were lovely and everything whilst on the higher end price wise was worth every penny. Would happily return. Some of the staff really set the hotel apart by being more accomodating than most ”

“We had a wonderful stay. From the moment we checked in the staff were very accommodating. Our room was perfect for what we needed. We enjoyed a couples massage at the spa which was superb. We then relaxed with room service. A wonderful stay and will definitely return.”

“This was a beautiful dated building, not your conventional place to stay but i would most definitely return, service was amazong, so friendly and efficient, this was for my wedding, one night before and night of, the jacuzzi bath was fantastic and both my son and my wife loved it, good for us bigger lads who cants normally enjoy a bath, very low ceilings but there are warnings in all the night places, would highly recommend if you want a peaceful retreat, the breakfast was amazing and good...

The pool wasn’t open and some work was happening but you can tell it’s going to look amazing once they put it all together and summer prep work is expected at this time of year. Kara was fab and we met a super helpful housekeeper who is doing a degree who was a literal walking tourist information centre. Great atmosphere all round .”

“ We really enjoy our stay at the farm. The location is very convenient, in a quiet spot but close to a well connected road. Our duplex had everything we needed for a short stay including a well equipped kitchen when and bathroom with toiletries.
We took advantage of the amenities of the farm including the playing area with plenty of toys for a toddler aged child as well as pool and foosball tables and outdoor space (swimming pool was still close at this time).

Food was excellent, generous portions.
To be honest, I thought the wine was a bit pricey.
Very nice garden, and plenty of parking.

“Very central so walk to anywhere in the town. Quirky but very acceptable. Some people wouldn't like some aspects but good for one night. Would stay again. No parking but street parking lets you park 3 hours before 8pm and after 8am. Unfortunately I misread the signs and parked on a disabled. An extra £35!”

“Il George è situato in High Street quindi in pieno centro con i soliti vantaggi e svantaggi che questo comporta. Facilmente raggiungibile dalla Colchester Coach station e una passeggiata (all'andata in salita) di circa 5-10 minuti dalla railway station. Purtroppo sono arrivata alle 10:30 e il check-in si può fare solo dalle 14:00 quindi non ho avuto l'opportunità di rinfrescarmi prima di andare a visitare la città. “Hosts are very welcoming and helpful. The room was very modern and lovely & clean. When we did stay it was a very hot weekend where the room was hot, would of been nice if there was a fan in the room that we could of used.
Free parking which is an added bonus. Only short walk into Colchesters main town. Would recommend to anyone.”
