“Very nice, clean and attentive staff. The towels were nice and fluffy. The breakfast didn’t have waffles, scrambled eggs or sausage. But it had meets and cheeses. The only complaint was a squeak. I didn’t bring it to their attention because my hearing is bad, just take out my hearing aids at night, and I couldn’t hear it. And I didn’t want to move rooms. I did bring it to their attention upon leaving, and I hope it’s fixed for the next guest.”

“I came up to visit the water park on the 3rd. We got stuck in the storm. Waterpark shut down , and the electricity at the motel and surrounding areas were all out of service”

“I checked out after seeing my room. The owner refused to refund my money! The facility was not updated as advertised. The pictures where staged. The appearance of the room was not even close except for the wallpaper behind the bed! I had to drive further down to stay at the Days Inn which was much nicer. Advice to future travels, keep driving! Very dirty!”

“Second time at the Sussex Motel. I feel like each time I stay is the similar experience you feel when entering a speak easy. The outside looks like a normal rode side Motel, BUT, when you go inside it is lovely! For the price you cannot beat it. Clean and has everything you need and the decor is nice. Other hotels in the area break the bank, but this price is reasonable and in a great spot. I live in another state so traveling to NJ is something I do often to see friends. I will be staying at...

“Bathtubs are very slippery and narrow so if you step on the rounded edges you slip. Needs a bath mat put in for safety . Beds are high off the floor makes it difficult for shorter and handicapped people.There is no elevator to get to the 2 floor. They didn’t mention it till after we got the room.”

“Generous breakfast, available coffee included in the stay. Pool was very helpful and moderately clean. The property needs better maintenance- hall carpets are a mess and halls smell like cigarettes. Priced fair for what it was.”

“I booked the least expensive room for $68 later in the evening. When I arrived, the Desk person evidently had booked the last of those rooms to someone else. He said there were no such rooms available and gave me a double room which I did not need charged me nearly $20 more after taxes. He gave me the option of not staying there, but I had already driven 20 minutes out of my way for the less expensive room good busy practices as well as common decency dictate that he charged me the lower price,...

“Plenty of free parking, great A/C, hot water, can check out online by 11am and leave at 12pm without a late check-out, no major complaints”
