“What a beautiful place to stay! Our room was comfortable (a little warm and no AC) and the staff was very helpful. We got great recommendations for dining and sightseeing from them. I highly recommend visiting the Katoomba area and Kurrara Guest House is a perfect place to stay. Good breakfast and very charming!”

“We liked the room which was bright and spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was little noticeable room cleaning and beds were left unmade for all three nights. Breakfast is quite basic and fresh coffee costs extra. Decor is quite olde-worlde. But we were very comfortable there.”

“I’ve stayed here previously (around 2016 or 2017) and they’ve done a nice refresh since then. The room we had this weekend was a family room with a double/queen and 2 single beds. Plenty of space for us. The room felt clean. Our only drama was that the wifi seemed a tad unreliable but we managed fine with what we had. Our mobile service was a bit hit and miss. A little vending machine was good for a few snacks for the kids. Location is so easy to the 3 Sisters, probably less than 5 minutes. ”

“This is a budget motel, so expectations should be adjusted accordingly. The room had the usual budget motel musty smell. The shower stall is small. But on the positive side, the room had a couch, a dining table, and the table settings needed to have breakfast in the room. The heater worked well, as did the available blankets.”

“Smell of sewer and mould was overwhelming, trash and dirty laundry was piled in heaps along the way to reception, I am not sure why this location is allowed to operate, had to find emergency lodging elsewhere, because of this I do not trust Expedia and will no longer be using their app or services”

“Excellent location near the station. Parking was fine but the entrance is not where Google Maps states. Older hotel in art deco style. Shows its age but has some character. Renovated small ensuite in our room. Comfortable, clean and warm. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Live music in the bar afterwards was enjoyable. Great value accommodation, would stay again.”

“Romantic heritage hotel with views on clear days of the mountains and Katoomba. A highlight was Alan, the pianist who plays in the bar. He was brilliant and his music made our stay incredibly special.”

“We had two nights at the Alpine lodge. The concierge was friendly, the room clean and spacious and the location was only a few minutes drive from the centre of Katoomba and other tourist attractions. The decor was dated and was on a noisy road (fine if the windows are closed as they are double glazed). Having bowls and plates would be a great addition as there is a toaster, fridge and microwave but no cutlery or crockery (besides tea cups and teaspoons). But overall a clean, comfortable and...
