Very stunning property, but disappointed with the after care and comments about our stay considering
Catherine was very good communicator at first. We were told her friend would drop the key off at the airport when we landed fine. Then our plane was delayed, and all of a sudden I was getting messages from different numbers explaining they couldn't meet at the airport and I would have to drive 30mins out of my way to collect the key. I refused, so i was met at the airport by 2 rude lady's, talking to me awful in a language I didn't understand. They gave me they key and stormed off no explanation on alarm etc. Anyway off we went to property and it was stunning, a bit out of the way, but very nice, and I thought to be honest under sold as the villa was next to the pool as if it was your own. The problem then with the building site opposite working from 8am, which wasn't mentioned and the dust from that was terrible sweeping and mopping constantly throughout the stay. Anyway we left, and then got a message saying we broke things and it was untidy, and we didn't use the bed sheets and quilt covers, but we did but there wasnt enough and no explanation of where these were and we did look as we didn't want to be sleeping like this either. I asked what we broke as I would pay for anything, but no response, also we did clean and take all rubbish out and not only that but we also paid a service cleaning fee, but still told was untidy, but no communication to resolve any of this and ignored. I then get a review of our stay which were all bad, so disappointed to say the least. We as a family travel a lot first time using homeaway, and never had a complaints ever, so left a sour taste. Shame as the property is stunning and under sold, but I believe Catherine shouldn't be renting it out as I do not think she has the correct people skills or staff/family for this industry.
