The front desk employees were very kind and helpful. We had a member of our family with a cane and the man who checked us in said that we had been given a downstairs room through our Expedia booking and wanted to warn us that there was no elevator to the downstairs rooms, only the upper floors. I had intentionally selected a hotel with an elevator, but I did not know which rooms I would be given or that the elevator did not go to the lowest floor. The man at the front desk tried to find a room upstairs but they were all booked. He asked us to assess the stair situation and if she could not make it, he would waive the cancellation fee so that we could book a more accessible hotel. The stairs were very steep, curved around a corner and the steps were extremely narrow. It was a challenge for her but over the course of five days, she became pretty good at navigating the stairs!
The rooms were clean, quiet, well-kept and comfortable. There was complimentary coffee & tea in the breakfast room and there, they had a nice coffee machine that made various coffee drinks (cappuccino, espresso, latte, macchiato). Breakfast, at an additional cost, looked and smelled good, even though I didn’t have any. There was a good variety of foods. We enjoyed our stay and the friendliness of the front desk staff. I was very glad that we selected this clean hotel because we saw some very large rats (dead & alive) on our walk through the city! Thanks, Krisotel!
