Pig pen place

This place is sub standard compared to other VRBO places I have stayed. The pictures did not show how dirty and torn up the place was. The so called hot tub was an inflatable 2 person hot tub , which is fine but was not usable. It had not been maintained or used in some time. The chairs out on the back patio were so dirty you could not sit anywhere. The light in the main bedroom closet did not work. We were told we could use the two car garage, but we couldn’t because there was a jeep parked inside, which isn’t the end of the world but don’t advertise it if it’s not available to use. Then the following morning we found a notice on the door from the landlord stating the person who is the host is a renter and is violating his lease agreement. I reached out to the host via email and told him we were not staying there and finding other accommodations .

Worst place to stay ever

I don’t even know where to start…first off, I wasn’t able to contact host (or them contacting me) until 7 pm (with a 3 pm check in) I called VRBO representative and were on the phone with them for a couple hours (with them trying multiple times to contact the host as well) by the time I was able to get a hold of the host, they asked me how far out I am and I told them about 30 minutes. When we got there they were still attempting to clean the house. They left as soon as we arrived and from there (everyone with me) started noticing so many issues with dirt and stains on sheets as well as drops of blood on the bathroom floor. The listing pictures are very misleading (one being the outside hot tub that had no water in it (except for dirty rain water) I could go on about how dirty the entire place was and the deco was horrendous as well as there being very little toilet paper and items needed to use for our stay! I contacted VRBO and sent them multiple pictures of everything wrong with the house. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!

Easy check in process

For a last minute stay the place wasn’t so bad but it wasn’t great either.Master bedroom closet light did not work. The kitchen sink faucet barely had any water come out. The upstairs carpet was dirty, and the futon couch upstairs needs a new mattress… One of the doorknobs was broken and the house had a funny smell to it. The patio outside was not clean at all. Besides that, the check in process was easy, and there was snacks and drinks in the fridge!

Anything but “luxury”

VRBO Review: Disappointing and Hazardous Stay at Hanover PropertyOur stay at this Hanover VRBO was far from the “epitome of luxury” promised in the listing. The property was riddled with issues that made our trip uncomfortable and unsafe. Room 2 was missing its remote, and the common area TV didn’t work at all. The smoke detectors had no batteries, a serious safety concern. An unknown car was parked in the garage, and a door was busted in, raising security worries. The paint job was atrocious—sloppy, with no proper trimming, and you could see old blue paint behind unmoved TVs. My 10-year-old could’ve done better.Hazards abounded: broken decor endangered my daughter, carpet nails protruded at bathroom entryways, and exposed nails in the bathroom floor were a risk. The queen bed was half-broken, with a leaning mattress, and the master bathroom sink had clogged hair sticking out. One tub was unusable for bathing, and the kitchen’s PUR water filter was red, with an empty water jug—pointless. Half the light bulbs were burnt out, and two bedrooms lacked blinds, with one curtain rod detached. No hand soap was provided anywhere, and the place reeked of musty weed.The listing falsely claimed a 3-minute drive to the airport—it’s 11 minutes. There was no Keurig as shown in photos, and the decor was distasteful. Wood framing was coming off, and the overall maintenance was abysmal. Worst of all, the host was unresponsive to texts and VRBO messages, leaving us to deal with these issues
