About this space
Located in the central heart of beautiful Matakana.
45 minute drive from Auckland.
1 minute walk away from the Markets, Restaurants, Bars, Matakana Cinemas, Fabulous Shopping.
Short drive to beautiful Beaches, Tawhranui Surfing, Walks, Vineyards, Breweries, Morris & James Pottery, Sculptureum and much more.
Even with this idyllic location it is quiet and tranquil.
2 night minimum bookings for summer and long weekends.
The space
This brand new, completely seperate to main house, purpose built tiny home is fresh clean and tidy with all the amenities you would expect.
The new latest luxury King Sleepyhead bed designed to give you a great nights sleep!
Heat pump for heat and cooling.
TV set up with chrome cast.
Unlimited fast Wi-Fi internet access
Kitchenette includes microwave, toaster, kettle, plunger with local Matakana roasted coffee grinds and fresh milk.
Closed private patio where you can enjoy you coffee or a glass of one our local vineyard wines!
Bathroom features large shower, great water pressure, heated towel rail, hairdryer, Ecostore shower soap, shampoo and conditioner.
Guest access
Entrance though private gate with boardwalk to the unit.
Decking and high fence make for security and privacy in your own space.
Other things to note
If you need added accommodation for family of friends, it is possible to contact the host as we do have other areas not connected the unit that may be available.
We do have a very friendly beautiful bichon x shitzu dog Evie who is in completely seperate house with us who likes to greet visitors. Please advise if you would prefer she stays in the house.

Great short-break getaway

Great location, short walk to Matakana's main street. Secluded one-room apartment with pretty much anything you need. Check out the decorative birds on the walk around to the unit. Find the short-cut to the pub out the back. One off-street park. The only quibble is that there is not quite enough drawer storage for clothes etc. - the bedside tables are very small.

Great studio.

The studio was very clean, with a lovely comfortable bed. Unfortunately, there wasn't any outside space for us to sit, as in the photos that were advertised.

Perfect stay!! Highly recommend

Such a great location! Parking available. Extremely easy check in. Great communication. Has everything you need - super cosy. Lynnette is a great host! We even rec’d some lemons and mandarins that will be enjoyed! Will definitely book here again.

My thoughts

I had a very good stay, everything is as I would have wanted it to be and was ideal for my attending a three day workshop in Matakana. One plus - I thought it was a good idea that Lynette supplied an electric tooth brush charger - I haven't seen that in other places where I have stayed. One minus - I found it difficult to work the television remote, not too sure if there were any instructions provided but I did not see them if there were. I would definitely look to staying there in the future should I be in Matakana.

Matakana cutie!

Warm and super friendly welcome from Lynette who made us feel instantly at home and was ever helpful. The private, new unit was immaculate in cleanliness, comfort, location and provided everything we needed. It suited us to the core as we were wanting 2 nights accommodation while attending a wedding nearby. Convenient and close to weekend markets and beaches, which we got to enjoy including top dining only a short walking distance. Will stay again when we can find another reason.

Lovely location + clean & tidy property

Lovely little unit - had all the amenities you would need, very clean and tidy, as well as a very comfortable bed! Lynnette was a great host - very quick communication and explained everything well. Would highly recommend this property!
