Benvenuti negli scavi di Astrid su Bald Head Island

Tutto ciò di cui hai bisogno in una casa! Abbiamo un open space con il soggiorno principale e la master suite al piano di sotto. La camera da letto principale ha un letto king size e un ampio bagno. Al piano superiore altre due camere da letto con bagno in comune. La seconda camera ha un letto matrimoniale e la terza camera ha 2 gemelli. All'esterno c'è una stanza separata (crofter). Il nostro crofter unico ha una cucina completa con frigorifero, lavastoviglie, forno a microonde e zona pranzo. C'è un letto matrimoniale, un letto matrimoniale e un bagno. C'è molto spazio per un'altra famiglia! Lo spazio esterno è altrettanto bello! Abbiamo un grande schermo sotto il portico e un sacco di spazio esterno con il nostro cortile recintato. Abbiamo anche un carrello passeggeri 4 e 6. Abbiamo pensato a tutto per rendere il tuo soggiorno con noi perfetto e memorabile!

Great house, good location with a few minor flaws
Astrid’s Digs sleeps 12 but there were only five of us, so we all had plenty of personal space. Our adult daughter and boyfriend stayed in the crofter, which has enough room for another family. The outdoor space was beautifully landscaped with a screened in porch and fenced in yard for our dog. The only negative was how disorganized/packed the kitchen cabinets were. Someone needs to go in there off season and take some stuff out. Also, there was only one working lamp in the living room. Suggest replacing the three, non-working lamps. The house could sleep 12 but there are only 3 bathrooms. That might not be enough with 12 people staying.

Convenient location walk to the beautiful pristine beach.
Comfortable home with comfortable beds and clean linen. Extra little house behind the main house was special . Could use some updating of furnishings to brighten the home. Extra cleaning of furniture, rugs, and outdoor furniture would add value especially during the pandemic and during the holidays. Thank you for hosting us.

We love BHI
My title reflects the island, not necessarily this home. This house is badly in need of repair. The carpets are disgusting, huge stains in 2nd floor hallway, the downstairs bedroom carpeting is stained and very dirty, to the point its uncomfortable to walk barefoot on. The kitchen is a complete mish mash of utensils, flatware and dishes. The overall impression of the home is that its needs have been maintained on a renter request basis and owners have not set foot in the home in a very long time. Light bulbs are nonexistent on the exterior of the home, including the screened in porch, which made it useless after dark. Forewarning, there is only a charcoal grill in this home. Each room had maybe one functioning lamp, all other lamps have burned out bulbs. The crofter had not been cleaned prior to our arrival, the sheets were stuffed into the armoire in both the crofter bedroom and the crofter great room, making us question if they had been washed. The bathroom still had toothpaste residue from prior occupants, and the floor had not been cleaned. The 6 passenger golf cart garage opener is non functioning, you must hand open the door each time you use the cart. The 6 passenger golf cart is very very very slow, clearly batteries need to be replaced soon. We had the need to call the property manger re a leaking (all over the floor) sink, they responded promptly and repaired the problem very quickly. Having said all this, we rent VRBO properties all over the US, we've seen much worse, and we can live with a lot of less then stellar properties, BHI is such a special place for us, that while the home was not great it did not stop us from enjoying ourselves, however with all the other available properties on BHI, this home will not be a property we would return too.
