“Lovely sized room for the two of us and our dog. Very welcoming to dogs throughout the whole Inn, which was very much appreciated. Comfortable bed, clean room, nice bathroom, shower ok, a little noise from music downstairs, but all went quiet about 10 pm. Nice breakfast and also enjoyed an evening meal too!”

“Clean, tidy, well appointed room and hotel. Easy walk from the train station, and reception always available from what I saw. Shower was OK, hot enough. “The room was clesn and comfortable, housekeeping staff were very helpful especially helpful with my wife who was a bit off colour. The general quslity of catering was better than our last. Our last day breakfadt was goid however consistency needs to be maintained. Front of house staff work very hard, especially Nial, & Jenny. As a former auditor i would suggest a visit by a snag fixer and this place would be cracking. Small changes, massive differences.”

“There was a problem with their heating,while we were there we did have a fan heater in the bedroom but it was a little chilly in the bathroom. The water for tea at breakfast was also rather cold and the coffee was stewed. It is in a lovely place and we enjoyed our visit and food.”

“We stayed at the hotel on the occasion of a family dinner. The dinner itself organised and catered by the hotel was first class.. 30 or so guests dining in an 18 century dining room. Our room with four poster was magnificent. Most importantly however every member of staff was outstandingly friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble .. even with three dogs wandering about and getting into places they shouldn’t! Quite the best hotel experience we have had for many years”
