“The hotel is beautiful, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was nice. But we were in a room with an adjoining door and you could hear everything on the other side of the door. Our neighbors stayed up talking all night. I had earplugs so I got a bit of sleep, but it was odd.”

“We arrived around 10pm with our 1 year old. Check-in was straight forward, but upon entering our room, we immediately walked out and went back to the check-in counter due to the overwhelming vape smell mixed with a musky scent, as if someone tried to cover it up. When we informed the front desk staff member of this, all she cared about was asking if we had used anything in the room. I had checked in maybe 10 minutes prior--only enough time for us to move the car and bring a load of our baggage...

To make matters worse, management refused to allow a room upgrade and denied housekeeping service throughout my multi-night stay, explicitly stating they were prioritizing a large reunion group instead. “The location is the draw for this hotel. It has immediate access to the sandy beach of Lake Michigan with great views of the water and the sunrise over the lake. Unfortunately, the hotel itself needs modernization and better cleanliness.”

“Our room was run down, The tiles in the bathroom were loose. Everything looked dingy and not well maintained. Elevator was not working most of the time, so hauling luggage was more difficult. The pool was absolutely disgusting, it was cloudy and very cold. Hot Tub was not working. Breakfast was typical and not very good. Pay the extra $20 dollars a night for a better hotel.”
