“My wife and I enjoyed our stay here! The room is basic but equipped with all the essentials (private entrance, private bathroom, kitchen sink, and fridge). It’s perfect for use as a home base while spending your days out and about. It is very close to a bus stop, about a 4 min walk, which gives easy connection to the rest of the city. The family is very quiet and we were not disturbed at all during our stay. ”

“We loved the house. Plenty of room inside for 10 of us and a wonderful play space on the grounds for little kids. Also, there is a wonderful public playground 5-10 minutes by foot from the house. It’s an easy walk to local shopping and the town center in Musselburgh. By car, we were 25 minutes from Edinburgh city center and the Royal Mile. Two buses that are a 5-10 walk from the house take 20 minutes to get to Edinburgh city center.”

“The property was clean and pretty much as advertised. Note there are not four queen size beds but 2. The cutlery could do with being changed too as it is cheap and not fit for purpose.”

“Had everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Fully kitted kitchen and washer dryer for self catering. Very clean and well kept property. 10 min walk to train to the city and 13 min train ride. Shops close by. Very happy with stay. A few more towels would have been nice but we made do, so no complaints.”

“We all loved the house in Edinburgh”

“Das Haus ist sehr zu empfehlen. Mit zwei Badezimmer ist es purer Luxus. Alles verlief super unkompliziert. Das Haus liegt in einer sehr ruhigen Siedlung, mit schönen Möglichkeiten spazieren zu gehen am Kanal. Da die Bushaltestelle nur ein paar Minuten entfernt ist kann man schnell alles erreichen wohin man möchte. Wir kommen gerne wieder.”

“All was great. This is a working stable with horses and those many that have to care for horses, plus at least one friendly dog. You felt welcomed and that was appreciated. With a 15 minute drive you are in North Berwick and so close to John Muir park and Seacliff. Seacliff is special. The only, and minor, negative was that it was not a peaceful place when we were there- lots of tree trimming (Chain saw) and chipping- so very noisy at times. I would guess this is a rare event and suggested to...

“If you want to explore Edinburgh this is a really great location. While compact, we were comfortable as a family of 5, and the kitchen was very well stocked, with some lovely personal touches. Station and supermarket both an easy walk. Very nice.”

“This home is absolutely stunning. The location was really lovely… walking distance to a great shop, park, and Stockbridge… The house itself is perfectly appointed, spacious, comfortable and beautiful. Marie-Claire was a lovely host… we could not have asked for a more perfect place!”

“This was a very quiet property right in the city. There was plenty of room for our family of 6 with good kitchen and dining facilities. It was close to good many restaurants and public transportation. The self check-in went well and was greatly appreciated.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Gillespie house; the location was excellent, and the bed and living area were very comfortable. We walked almost everywhere around Edinburgh from the Gillespie house, making it so convenient. It was about 30 minutes to the center of town, but many great shops and restaurants were even closer. “This three bedroom property was perfect. It was in a great location with a view of Arthur’s seat out the window. Very walkable to restaurants and pubs. Met at the check in so Louie could explain everything. Very organized with a notebook that even included the manual to the washer/dryer. Very clean. Highly recommend!!”
