La cabina Nest di Bird ha il fascino di Daniel Boone ma con tutti i comfort della vita moderna e, a differenza di alcune cabine, molta luce con interni luminosi. Splendidi pavimenti in pino a tutta larghezza riflettono la luce! Al centro della cabina c'è un vero camino in pietra che brucia legna invece che gas, così puoi goderti serate accoglienti nei giorni freddi davanti a un vero fuoco con un bicchiere di vino, un buon libro, guardare un film o giocare.


La cucina della cabina è spaziosa con ripiani in granito e un'isola. Se ti piace cucinare mentre sei in vacanza, ti godrai un sacco di spazio sul bancone. E se ti piace cenare fuori, c'è un ampio decking completo di tavolo e posti a sedere per quattro persone per godersi l'ambiente naturale.


Bird's Nest offre 1 grande camera da letto al piano superiore con un letto matrimoniale e un divano letto doppio al piano di sotto. Il bagno si trova al piano principale e presenta una credenza antica convertita in modo creativo in una vanità. Al livello principale troverai anche la grande cucina, completa di ripiani in granito, un'isola, una zona pranzo e il soggiorno.


La cabina del nido dell'uccello si trova in un quartiere con molte strade e sentieri percorribili, anche lungo il fiume. Fai attenzione agli uccelli, ai cervi, ai tacchini selvatici e, se sei fortunato, forse vedrai un gatto selvatico. La cabina è dog-friendly per Fido, se lui o lei è inferiore a circa 25 sterline. C'è un sacco di cortile per il tuo cane da correre, e un cane da attaccare se vuoi dare al tuo cucciolo un po 'di senso di libertà.

Questa cabina è a soli 10 minuti da West Jefferson, il che significa che non devi andare lontano per goderti le tante cose che la città ha da offrire. Per cenare, visita i nostri vecchi preferiti come Boondocks e la Taverna dell'hotel, ma ora hai il Craft Bistro e New River Brewing. Alcuni di questi offrono musica, così come la Taverna di Trento. Per i pranzi hai alcuni degli stessi posti, oltre a Smoky Mountain BBQ, Rosebud Café, Sweet and Savory Café e Havana Café, solo per citarne alcune delle tue scelte.


E qualcuno ha detto "Shopping?" West Jefferson offre un delizioso mix di negozi, gallerie e negozi di antiquariato! Il secondo venerdì di ogni mese, ti godrai la Galleria Crawl dalle 17 alle 20, da giugno a ottobre, oltre al primo venerdì di dicembre. E ogni sabato mattina, controlla i prodotti, le piante, l'artigianato e l'arte offerti nella Backstreet al Farmer's Market. Venite le vacanze, potete vedere il lavoro di una troupe di artisti nel weekend del Ringraziamento alla Florence Thomas Art School - o prendere in considerazione l'idea di frequentare un corso da soli! Poco oltre il quartiere, a pochi minuti di distanza, troverai l'accesso al Blue Ridge Parkway e puoi dirigerti a nord verso Doughton Park (e questa storica cabina di Brinegar) o a sud verso il Moses Cone Park. Fai shopping in direzione nord al Northwest Trading Post o al Moses Cone Park nel centro artigianale. Entrambe le direzioni ti stupiranno con le viste.


Oppure dirigiti verso il Monte Jefferson sulla strada per West Jefferson e controlla le creste montuose della Contea di Ashe e oltre dai numerosi punti panoramici, oltre a fare un'escursione su uno dei sentieri. Non lontano dalla cabina troverai anche il nuovissimo parco della Contea di Ashe: Elk Shoals, con ottimo accesso al fiume, un luogo perfetto per portare i bambini.


Se vuoi visitare Boone, arriverai in centro in meno di 40 minuti. Blowing Rock è solo un po 'più lontano.

Nice little cabin with lots of character, but with modern amenities as well. We saw deer multiple times a day and enjoyed the quiet sounds of the birds and nature while sitting in the hot tub. Nice gas grill on site and the kitchen seemed well stocked. Dishwasher racks are a bit broken, but it still cleaned the dishes well. There were several books to read and a few toys tucked away for the kids. Although the cabin was clean, the overall smell of the cabin was very offensive and could be smelled from the porch. It genuinely smelled like very strong cat urine. We did our best to disguise said smell during our weekend stay, but found staying outdoors worked best. Probably wouldn’t stay there again due to the odor.

House was clean and had everything we needed and more. Would have liked to have a bathroom on the same level as the bedroom but we made do as this was booked at the last minute. Area was quiet and we were able to see wildlife and the northern lights while in the hot tub. Very Nice!

This was a well appointed cabin that was easy to find and close to downtown. Hot tub was great and we enjoyed the wood burning fireplace as well as the fire pit. Bed was comfortable and price was right!

My husband and I wanted a quiet getaway for the weekend, and this property did not disappoint. The cabin was clean, the kitchen was stocked with everything you would need. It was quiet, peaceful and just what we were looking for! The town of West Jefferson has great shops and restaurants you need to check out too. Highly recommend!

The Bird's Nest was the perfect getaway cabin for a quick anniversary weekend for my husband and I. The outdoor space was great with multiple seating areas and of course, the hot tub. The inside of the cabin was adorable and had everything we needed. Would love to come back!!

We truly enjoyed our stay. Everything we needed was supplied - we did plan to bring extra toiletries since only one roll is provided per the listing. The home is cozy with lots to look at. We enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub immensely.

This little cabin has alot to offer and we will return! We enjoyed rocking on the front porch, reading many different books available to us, the games and grilling fabulous meals! The jacuzzi was relaxing after the long hikes that we managed to do. Thank you!

Loved the cute and quaint cottage style cabin. We were greeted with complimentary popcorn, hot cocoa, and bottled water. There were a few issues when we got there. We couldn’t get the family room TV to work and the propane tank for the gas fire pit was empty. There wasn’t anything provided to light the wood burning fireplace. Called management and everything was promptly taken care of the next day. We left the lighter we bought for the next guests. We enjoyed the hot tub and the quiet, peaceful setting. We watched deer graze in the yard a couple of times. West Jefferson was a great mountain town to visit. The mountains were beautiful. We’d stay again!

Very cute, clean, well built cabin, lots of character, obviously someone's pride. Very clean, everything taken care of so you can enjoy a carefree stay. The hot tub was great after a day of hiking, and West Jefferson is a cool little town, especially if you are into antiques and collectibles. The only thing I would change about the cabin is perhaps less mementos so there would be more places for magazines, etc.

Everything about this property was just right. The description, the photos, the location, the good folks managing it at Stay Blue Ridge... everything. This home has everything you need to feel at home and welcomed upon arrival. If you're looking for a getaway in a home that's the perfect size for a small family, then this is the place! If I had to nitpick, I'd say the only issue is with the upstairs master bed, in that the person sleeping on the left side of the bed will not receive much air from the overhead fans (there is no A/C upstairs; this issue could also rather easily be resolved by just re-orienting the bed in the room, but we didn't want to go through that trouble). This won't be an issue for 10 months of the year, but in July and August, it can be rather hot at night still. We didn't find the standup fan in the closet until we were ready to leave, so the first night was rough, while the second night we thankfully had a portable fan that was more than sufficient. So as long as you remember to use some kind of fan directed at this side of the bed in the summer, everything should be fine.

We decided to get away for a couple nights last minute. Found this cabin and loved the story behind it and it looked perfect. It’s beautiful and secluded at the end of the road with loads of privacy. All amenities you can imagine and very comfortable with excellent WiFi. The only thing that we could find that needed slight attention was the hot tub could have been a little cleaner. We used it and loved it but for the amount of the cleaning fee it definitely needed a little more filtering. Other than this it was amazing and you’ll love your stay here!

I took my significant other up for Father's day getaway. It's the most adorable cabin. The bed was very comfortable. Walking around looking at all the decorations was great. We loved how it was decorated. We made all our meals and ate on the side porch. Last night we had two deer come visit right at the end of supper (which they provide deer corn to feel them) we will definitely be back. The only thing this cabin needs is a swing or a hammock
