“Nothing special”

“We chose this property because of the location and cost. It's clean with well worn furniture, things are a bit shabby but under new management. The beds were comfortable enough. We were there when the wildfire smoke came. During the first night we noticed a smoky smell in our room and awoke to extreme air quality issues. We had planned to go to Mackinac Island for the day but you couldn't walk outside without coughing. Actual ash was coating our car. We are retired and knew we could not...

“The continental breakfast was weak. If they would add maybe some microwavable ess bowls / omlettes it would be a 3.9 breakfast. The building breakfast is in was hot and the coffee was not strong enough.”

“This place is old. The pool is shut down by the City. The room had some issues, but overall it was a bed to sleep in at a decent rate.”

“The view from our room of the bridge was fabulous and it was on a golf course! The hot tub was out of service so that was unfortunate. It was a great stay for a great price.”

“I cannot say enough about this wonderful property! I don’t usually stay at a “motel” but made an exception and I am so glad we did! A young couple bought this property and are renovating it beautifully! Many thoughtful touches have been added including a fire pit with all the s’mores fixings! We had a great time hanging out there last night. Please give this place a chance and support this small business owner! Thanks again, Hannah and Alex!!”

“Room was clean, pool building was clean and best of all the lake view from my balcony. Only thing negative was the dead summer flies all over the place, but can't help mother nature. The staff try to keep up with the cleaning of the flys. My family and I would stay again.”

“This is a gem amongst all motels and even hotels in the Mackinaw/St. Ignace area. Completely renovated, just like the pictures show it. And dog-friendly! Yes, you can hear occasional noise from adjacent rooms but that’s no difference when staying in a hotel. I will return to this motel anytime if I need an overnight stay in the area.”

“Great location within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Can't give any feedback on breakfast, it wasn't available until 8 am and we left before then to catch an early ferry.”

“The breakfast was very good and the pool was great. The young man behind the front desk had a number of difficulties to deal with including someone's malfunctioning air conditioner and I thought he did a masterful job. Our air conditioner worked. The fan in the bathroom sounded liked an idling lawnmower, however.”

“An absolutely great hotel and location. Very clean overall, rooms had hooks and space to hang and place clothing and bags. The workout facility was one of the best I've seen in a hotel - a good set of dumbbells, pulley machine, and plenty of cardio equipment. A nice pool and the hot tub was outside, but a smaller. A roof patio to take in the view. A small, but ample bar. The breakfast was very good as well and staff made sure it was stocked and clean - coffee was good as well - even had bagels...

“There was never any facility available!? When we arrived via GPS, could not contact anyone or see any evidence of a room and/or cabin for us to stay in? Phone posted on a door was not in service.”
