“I loved my stay. The room was clean with a comfortable bed. The Hotel Salem has easy access to I-5 and close to grocery stores, restaurants, and gas stations. Friendly staff. I'll definitely be back on future visits.”

“Very unkept property and facility. The bedsheet had a urine stain. The front desk who happened to be the manager/owner was nonexistent at the front desk, even when the bell was rang for assistance. I tried to be patient waited a couple minutes each time then a child popped out from the back and went back to let them know I was upfront waiting and it still took a good five minutes to get a response. “I understand this was never advertised as a resort, but I did expect the absolute basics to function. Unfortunately, that appears to have been asking too much. The TV didn’t work, the shower wouldn’t drain, and the electrical outlets were so worn out that plugs literally fell out unless they were held in place with electrical tape. The first red flag should have been opening the room and seeing a mattress propped up against the window like it was part of the furniture package. Nothing says...

“Very friendly, helpful staff. We used the laundry room and appreciated that they could make change for us at the office. Got coffee every morning. The roses, daisies and rhododendrons were are beautiful. We got very clear instructions on where the best places were preferred for us to take our dogs so we could be good guests. The room was clean and they provided us with fresh towels during our three night stay. We enjoyed quiet and solitude during the evenings.”

“It was a decent room except there was rat poop on top of the counter space. Just wiped it up ourselves because we needed a place to stay for the weekend.”
