“Our room had a noisy bathroom fan and the bathroom light bulb went out later. The front desk man who cheerfully carried our luggage upstairs to our room was prompt in taking care of our request. Overall, the hotel needs a refresh. To sum it up, I would find another hotel to stay at.”

“This is a very quaint little motel that brings me back to my childhood or maybe even a time before I was born. The older gentleman working the front desk was friendly and helpful. Although we didn’t use them, a pool and miniature golf course were available. The breakfast was a little sparse but still good. My only complaint would be the placement of the AC unit in the room. The thermostat was set to 72 (and it felt much warmer) when we arrived and it took hours to cool the room down as the unit...

“The Powder HOuse Lodge is right off Highway 16A and except for some traffic noise, we abolutely loved it. The staff was amazing expecially the wait staff in the restaurant. The restaurant serves delicious meals. Everything we tried was mouth wateringly good. The cabins were lovely, spacous and comfortable with two queen beds, a TV, AC, microwave, and mini fridge and a porch with porch swing to enjoy the beauty. “The hotel is located right in Keystone. There is a gas station and a few places to eat. The hotel is convenient and clean, though the rooms are small and do not have a view - they look at a rock wall. The breakfast is okay. Our room was near the indoor pool, which isn't closed off from the hallways but closes at 10pm.”

“Like the price(when booked in advance) location is directly across from mount rushmore adventures. Spacious rooms and views are good. Tiny pool, but having a game room is a plus but hours need to be later… most people are winding down from outside adventures and 9pm is a bit early to close those two amenities. The rooms are a bit outdated, but my biggest complaint is an unventilated shower. Either have to keep the bathroom door open or take a cold shower. Otherwise, you be drenched in sweat and...
