Great view of the bay and sunsets. Comfortable room and plentiful and delicious breakfast. Mike is a fantastic host. A very affable person who is most generous with his time and devotes a lot of attention to detail. Luigi and Oscar are delightful pet cats.

Very nice B&B, clean and quiet. The location is remote and private, but within short driving distance to both VA Beach and Cape Charles. Their grounds and beach are secluded and maintained for your use. Mike makes a fantastic breakfast and is a great conversationalist. If you are a history buff, especially the Civil War, ask him about anything!

Mike and his property are amazing. We had a beautiful room with a lovely view out to the bay. The private beach didn't disappoint either . From the wonderful breakfast including the amazing muffins to the recommendations for dining and recreation we couldn't have asked for a better time. It was a quiet retreat to unplug and relax and we will definitely be back. Thank you, Mike, for making Baywood such a wonderful home away from home.

Absolutely a fabulous experience in every way. The facilities, atmosphere, and location are lovely, comfortable, and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious, and we so enjoyed the time we spent with Mike, the owner. This will be a place we hope to visit again and again.

Så mysigt ställe precis vid stranden, önskar att vi stannat där flera dagar. Rummet var jättefint. Frukosten var god och vi fick en massa tips och fick höra många intressanta historieberättelser

Lovely bed and breakfast by the bay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Baywood Bed and Breakfast. The owner was gracious, the room was comfortable and charming, and the breakfast was delicious. We only wish we had stayed long enough to enjoy the beautiful sunsets from our room.

Wonderful, quiet location for midweek romantic getaway. Close to the wildlife refuge, historic sites, Cape Charles and more ... Mike and his family were great hosts and we plan to visit at least once a year.

Very nice B&B on the Eastern Shore

We stayed at the Baywood B&B while attending a wedding in Cape Charles. The house are rooms are very nice, and the waterfront property is beautiful. The staff was very warm and friendly, and the breakfast with the other guests was very pleasant. The room we stayed in had a balcony where we were able to sip our morning coffee and look out over the Chesapeake Bay.

Wonderful b& b with its own private beach

Extremely helpful hosts always going out of their way to ensure that we had all we needed. A hearty hot breakfast was freshly prepared each morning.

Eastern Shore gem

Mike is an excellent host, friendly and helpful but not intrusive, available at need but not pushy. This might be about the nicest place I've ever stayed. Beautiful view of the bay from porch and 2 of 3 rooms - dophins, pelicans and absolutely splendid sunsets. They were suffering a seasonal outbreak of fruit flies which was a nuisance but which Mike energetically tackled with persistence and determination. Two resident cats are friendly greeters but don't intrude and know their boundaries. We liked it so well we managed to work in another night's stay. BTW, Mike is a really good cook and you're sure to enjoy his breakfasts, including top notch coffee. Highest recommendation

Perfectlynch relaxing Bayfront stay

We entered our room and literally gasped at the gorgeous view- spacious terrace, green lawn and beautiful bay stretched out before us. Mike was a gracious and helpful host- we sadly had a change of plans requiring us to change the booking from 2 to 1 night, and though it's quite a process to achieve with Orbitz, Mike was patient enough to enable a successful resolution. He is also very knowledgeable about local history.

.Fantastic stay.

This was, by far, one of our favorite B&B's. Accommodations were very comfortable. The view was perfect. Most of all, the innkeepers were a total delight. Mike makes a fantastic breakfast. The food was only equaled by the interesting conversations. Would recommend anyone visiting the Cape Charles area to stay at the Baywood.

First time for wife

My wife & I went to this lovely B&BThe Rating were High so booked a roomThe place off RT13 a little hard to find but well worth it First the view was great The building was nice The grounds were lovely We only stayed one nite so limited time to enjoy the place Also breakfast was a Spiinash Keach pie quite tasty

Wonderful innkeeper, great breakfasts

We had a delightful stay at Baywood. Our innkeeper, Mike, was so friendly, knowledgeable about the area and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the beach at the back of the inn. It's very safe-- shallow for a long way out, no rough waves, sandy bottom. The inn is beautifully located, with a peaceful view of the bay and lovely grounds.

A gorgeous retreat

Our host, Mike, gave us a very friendly and gracious welcome, followed by a tour of the home and grounds. We loved everything about this B&B, and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely getaway retreat.
