“It was wonderful allaround”

“We really loved our stay with one exception. A woodpecker would wake us up daily between 6am-6:30am pecking loudly on the outside of our suite (#58). We asked if anything could be done but there wasn’t and it was a common occurrence. We would love to go back if we can be sure we could sleep in.”

“The hotel has great direct access to the beach. The facilities are a perfect combination of modern and Spanish/Italian older style. Food is good although the menu could offer a bit more options. In terms of location, it is a great one if you don’t plan to be in the city but you still want to have a lunch or dinner in Santa Barbara and then go back to the hotel (15-20 mins by car). “Overall this is a good hotel in Carmel. It seemed a little pricey but they do have a free 1st class breakfast and free happy hour that is nice. The happy hour starts at 2 pm. Our room was a little small for the price but amenities were excellent.”
