“Our room was extremely noisy. Every phone notification our neighboring room had was clear as day in ours. Every footstep above us banged loudly in ours. The smoke alarm in our room beeped periodically and the front desk staff told us they wouldn't be able to get to it until at least the next day. I would probably recommend staying elsewhere if you can.”

“Excellent staff. They were very polite and eager to assist us. The hotel was beautiful and well kept. The food from the hotel restaurant "Oxley House" was outstanding and their bar was perfect. This place has it all. We are definitely coming back for another stay and would highly recommend it to everyone.”

“This is a basic, no-frills old property that has aged well. The rooms are plain, and nothing but coffee in the office for breakfast. I am a traveler who looks for a clean place to sleep and shower; the frills don't matter. This fits the bill for someone who would rather spend their money on other things than frills in a room they will sleep in and be gone from in 12 hours. In cities, cheap hotels attract an element to stay away from, but that type is not touring the back roads of West Virginia.”
