“Camera: molto bella e caratteristica (la mansarda) per via del letto sotto gli abbaini Bagno: non finestrato, ma bello ed elegante Personale: molto gentile e disponibile (oltre che paziente con chi come me litiga con la lingua ) Sala colazione /ristorante: molto bella, la colazione molto variegata. Cena al ristorante siamo stati bene. Aggiungo e concludo che dall’Hotel il centro è a due passi ”

“An unusual concept for hotel but a good one. Lovely to park right outside own room. Very comfortable, hot water and an amazing breakfast with the best scrambled eggs ever had in a hotel. ”

“Not great for EV drivers as when you take the car to charge, you cannot return to the hotel to park. And the cleanliness in the bathroom prevented me from bathing my 3 year old.”

“Beautiful grand hall set in beautiful grounds, didn't spend much time there, due to stay related to attending a wedding near by. Hotel contacted us before our stay to check any requests and were kind enough to say even though check in not till 3pm and we needed to be at our wedding for 2:30 said we could leave our luggage and do the check in process and collect key after the wedding, but when we arrived the room was ready so they let us go straight to the room. If we were to return would pay...

“Handy location to Durham and countryside. Clean cozy and friendly clear communications. Nice touch to have some supplies available on arrival. Felt unclear where to park as other locals parked up but I’m sure it would have been clear should I have asked.”

“This was our second visit, and it didn’t fail to impress. On this occasion we stayed over Christmas, and the hotel was decorated fabulously. We had a castle feature room which was lovely. We also ate in the restaurant for dinner, which again was excellent. Breakfast was also very good. The staff were all polite and professional, always chatty with a smile on their faces! Would definitely recommend.”

“We stayed here before the GNR. Good location. Room was clean and bathroom is good. Check in was easy. It had a kitchnette which i didnt realise, so next time id be able to prepare my breaksfast before the run. Would definitely recommend.”

“Stayed for Christmas shopping, shops disappointing but the hotel more than made up for it. All staff we interacted with were welcoming, smiley and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful and our evening meal in the restaurant was lovely. Bonus was the parking and late check out. Would definitely stay again if in that area.”
