“We had a fantastic stay at Dakota Newcastle. The rooms were beautiful, stylish and extremely comfortable, and the staff were so attentive and welcoming throughout our stay. Both dinner and breakfast were amazing with excellent food and great service. Everything felt really high quality and well thought out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Dakota Newcastle. We’ll absolutely be back!”

“Excellent”

This is not a criticism of the hotel, it is my view. Based on reviews I expected a little more than we got....

“Much improvement on the previous night in Scarborough”

“Stayed one night ahead of a day in Durham. Easy access to the town, good food and room. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent B&B”

“Bene”

“First impression of the room (which was a suite). There is dust all over the vents, the thermostat was set very high as we walked in and after setting it to the lowest setting the air con doesn’t blow cold air whatsoever. The room is smaller than advertised in images online. And the ceilings are very low. Going from a 5 star manor at the start of the week to this by the end of the week was just disgusting. The room was in need of a proper deep clean, stains on the sofa. Genuinely makes me feel...
