Hi Jeffrey, We’re very sorry that it happened to rain during your stay. That can unfortunately happen on anyone’s holiday, but none of us have control over Mother Nature. As far as the WiFi, this was not an issue with our villa, but rather an incident in the area. The main line went down causing an internet outage in all of Charlotteville. Had the main line not been struck down our internet is generally reliable considering you’re on a remote island. The house is equipped with Google WiFi so our guests can receive a strong signal throughout the whole house, but again, if an unforeseen incident occurs causing an outage on the island, there’s nothing we could have done to prevent that. It’s unfortunate that you had a string of bad luck on your trip, but it’s also unfortunate that a 2 star rating based on things we cannot control are going to lower our listing’s great rating. Especially considering you only stayed one night, and the area’s internet was restored the day you left. We work extremely hard to make our villa even more than what we would expect for ourselves in an eco retreat. Our villa caters to nature lovers as Charlotteville has some of the best dive sites, snorkeling, hiking, bird watching etc. Certainly far from boring and one of the most beautiful areas on the island. It’s sad you didn’t get to experience what the rest of our guests have. But definitely if you are going to adventure in the rain forest of eastern Tobago you need to be open for the unexpected.
