We loved the location, in the middle of the old town, close to shops and restaurants, with meandering stairs/streets and lovely seafront. Especially loved the quiet mornings and evenings, and if streets were sometimes busy with tourists during the day, that was fine, we used that time to jump on a ferry to explore other villages for a few hours. Highlights--Varenna was a lovely village for lunch....

“The apartment was clean, spacious and had all the amenities we needed for a short stay in Varenna. It is located very close to the local bars and restaurants and a 15 minute walk from the train station. The self check-in process was simple, although the instructions we were sent had the wrong box described for our apartment, but it was self explanatory once we got there as the boxes are all lettered.
