“First of all the location is excellent… right in the middle of the rainforest, although the drive up there is not for the faint hearted. My room was very basic, which was expected. The thing I didn’t like was that the door to the deck didn’t seal at all, so when the wind blew at night it rattled the blinds and kept me awake. “A charming character Victorian hotel with excellent restaurant, and adjacent accommodation. We only stopped one night but will be back. We were made welcome from start to finish by all staff. The bar is full of history, and food in the heritage restaurant was superb and a credit to the chef.”

“Definitely dated but was fine for a one night stay and we weren’t in it much.”

“Katy the owner was so friendly as well her dog Butler. Beautiful river which is easy access from the cabins. Our stay was short due to other committments during the day but by night it was so peaceful. We bonded because of no wi-fi which was great not having kids or us on technology. Different experience for us from our normal hotel/motel stay but we loved it. ”
