“There is no staff on location, so if anything goes wrong, you get a sorry via text. The main phone number is disconnected. You can't actually reply to the text that they send you the information from. Personally I'd give it a wide birth.”

“The individual unit we stayed in was well-designed, private, and offered a great setup for a comfortable stay. The hosts are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They provided a superb breakfast including coffee and a list of smoothies and accommodated our varying dietary needs. Great view of the Goldcoast. We would stay here again!”

“Fully renovated rooms above the bar and bistro in the centre of town. Parking at rear could be a problem but we snared the last spot at the time on arrival. Staff were most helpful and changed our allicated riom to the rear and not above the bar. Most appreciated. Good use of space in rooms with kitchenette facilities including stovetop hotplates but no utensils for their use. Good ensuite space. Comfortable bed and pillows. Great bar and bistro downstairs for an easy relaxing evening.”

“Hillcrest Mountain View Retreat is a hidden sanctuary. We hit the jackpot when we were searching for accommodation in the area to attend a wedding. Its location is nothing short of spectacular and the 360 views are breathtaking. Hosts Craig and Paul were so warm and welcoming, and a wealth of knowledge about the local area. Our room had such a comfortable bed with everything we needed and many more extras. The deck was made for unwinding with a daybed and hammock inviting you to linger and...

“Katy the owner was so friendly as well her dog Butler. Beautiful river which is easy access from the cabins. Our stay was short due to other committments during the day but by night it was so peaceful. We bonded because of no wi-fi which was great not having kids or us on technology. Different experience for us from our normal hotel/motel stay but we loved it. ”

“The cabin is equipped with everything we needed for a wonderful couple of days away, including a cooktop, dishwasher and spa bath. The views over the western escarpment are just magnificent. The location is close enough to the town centre to be convenient, but far enough to enjoy the serenity of the landscapes. ”

“Old and very tired, in need of refurbishment. Three main things define a quality room - Plumbing, Pillows and Aircon, FAIL on all 3. You can hear other people's plumbing running. The pillows are thin cheap ones probably bought from Coles and the aircon was ineffective. Had to set it to 17C and flat out to even get the room down to a temperature where I wasn't sweating. Hardly slept and won't ever stay here again!”
