“You can have ventilation OR privacy but NOT both. There is no air conditioning and the only source of ventilation is a set of windows that face the hallway. Which means if you want oxygen or cool air you need to open the windows and the curtains, and everyone walking by can see and hear everything you're doing. There is a fan (glued to the window!) and if you arrange the curtains very carefully around the fan you can get some visual privacy (except for the hole for the fan). Even with the fan on...

“The beds need to be replaced and all the pillows were lumpy. We heard from several guests that sleep was difficult due to the beds and lumpy pillows. The interior seemed very clean and the parking was very convenient. Rooms were nicely decorated. Breakfast was good, but the coffee in the lobby was overly strong. The staff we dealt with were very friendly and personable.”

“Loved everything about staying at The Delaware except the stairs. Reading the reviews before going, I thought, oh they can’t be that bad. Well, if you’re not a young person, these steps will hurt ya’. The breakfast was great! Ambiance in lobby area was comfortable and quiet. Prices in shops in Leadville have become outrageous.”

“The staff was more than happy to accomodate an early check-in for 4 different reservations our group had (because they had the space/rooms ready early) - the rooms were great for the price and the common spaces were very nice! Perfect place to stay for a Dillon ampitheater show.”

“From the moment we checked in the ambiance was relaxing, welcoming and clean! We enjoyed the hot tub in the evening and the outdoor seating for morning coffee. Both staff and breakfast were excellent! Highly recommend if you are looking for more of a modern bed and breakfast stay for a couple!”

“Everything was great, except for the breakfast. Every bagel was dried out and hard… here were sausage biscuits in a heater pan that were hard as rocks… definitely put out from the previous day and could not eat those (nor bagels). Breakfast definitely needs attention but every other part of the stay was very nice! Also enjoyed using the shuttle service to Vail Village.”
