In Cromer (less than a mile), make sure to tuck into a Cromer crab sandwich before marvelling at the town’s iconic pier bursting with entertainment and history. Further along the coast, there’s a family-friendly beach at Sheringham (4.5 miles) and a promenade from which to soak up the views. Blakeney National Nature Reserve (15 miles) is also worth a visit for its grey seals and rare visiting seabirds. Heading inland, the market town of Holt (10 miles) is a delight, with shops and eateries amongst its narrow, winding streets.
